Mostly thanks to Muslim influence, especially during the Mongol/Timurid era.

It was all part of the religious culture of the era, and also, I don't think he was picked up in any major way by non-Muslims in India and China, though as Dully pointed out, there was lots of syncretism.
I have a feeling Hermes Trismegistus is saved for something else down the road.
if anything some lame shit that'll be worse than what I said
I am better at writing FGO than FGO itself.

Expresses the exceeding size of one's library.
Books are extremely many, loaded on an oxcart the ox will sweat.
At home piled to the ridgepole of the house, from this meaning.
Read out as 「Ushi ni ase shi, munagi ni mitsu.」

But would you have come up with "Hermes Trismegistus burns human history to fuel time travel" on your own?
I would have done better even than that and realised that FGO is not actually a thing that should be written at all

They thought so too but then changed their mind after player reaction to the first three chapters.
That's why I'm better. I wouldn't change my mind.

They were gonna stop at three chapters??
No, they were going to keep phoning the story in, IIRC.
But conceptual stuff is very straightforward! It just does what is says on the label. A gun can be used to kill people, but how it works is based on physical laws which we have learned to leverage. On the other hand, something that can conceptually kill people is just that, there's no deeper explanation behind its mechanisms or the deeper explanation just functions as flowery exposition around the conceptual effect.
it's really a matter of "less retarded" than "more appropriate"

As far as "annoyances" go this is truly one of the most minor, most nitpicky. But it has always bugged me whenever I see Beowulf and remember that Hrunting is given a higher Rank than Nægling.
Seems a bit counterintuitive and that their Ranks should have been the other way around.
That is all.

There are too many situations of a company hitting a specific point where they can just coast raking in millions on a property that explodes, and everything else immediately stops becoming a priority.
FGO is that for Type Moon. Its like Epic with fortnite, or Valve with Steam.
To be fair, unlike those companies, they havent completely stopped giving a crap about expanding the brand, and the little they focus on has had its quality rise in proportion, but...its hard to see any way of out of such a situation
