Die Another Day is an awesomely terrible good time for all

Golden Eye is the best Bond film insofar as it most matches what people imagine "Bond" to be. As far as being a film in general goes, Skyfall is probably the best?

Somewhat circular, though, people think Bond is meant to be like Goldeneye because the people who think this grew up watching Goldeneye.

We watched that scene in high school for... some reason. I think I was the only one in class who noticed. Just a dash of unreality.
O walls, you have held up so much tedious graffiti that I am amazed you have not already collapsed in ruin.

Well, Goldeneye was definitely the most impactful of the Brosnan movies. I remember going into the ones coming later after watching Goldeneye and being disappointed by each one.

It's actually because it's the closest to the general cultural image of a Bond film. The only way it could be closer is if it was Connery instead of Brosnan, but the Connery movies are bad so they don't hold the same position.

I always found the Dalton Bond to be good movies, except for the villains. A nice midway between the stupidity of later Brosnan and the grim seriousness of Craig.

I was never able to get past the totally misogynistic atmosphere of the movies. At least, that's how I perceived it. M is the only interesting female character.

Other than that, for me it all comes down to a few good one-liners like,
"Yes! I am eenveencible!" *gets turned into an ice sculpture by nitrogen gas*

In any case, if she's a Bond girl, and she's not M, she's a tramp by nature of Bond's sex pheromones and manwhore tendencies.

    So, noh.
