First crackpot theory I'll post here:

Beasts II and VI are connected just like Beasts I and VIII seem to be. Furthermore Beast II and VI represent the unholy trinity in the book of Revelation. We have two halves of Beast VI being the two Beasts of Revelation, while Tiamat is the Original Species that proto Merlin mentioned, and is the 'dragon' in the book of Revelation. Though she lacks the dragon trait, Tiamat is referred to as a dragon and gave birth to the first dragons. The two/three beasts have a lot to do with each other such as both using the black mud and BB using skills tied to both; Potnia Theron connected to Tiamat, and Golden Grail connected to Beast VI. Tiamat's nega skill is Nega Genesis while Beast VI is the Beast of Revelation, giving us the first and last books of the bible. Furthermore, Tiamat is also compared heavily to Eve and Lilith, being referred to as the primordial woman and Goetia has her labelled as femme fatale.

The second Beast of Revelation is one that has a sheep like appearance and is born of the earth, often being referred to as the false prophet. One of the most well known figures in myth connected to the anti-Christ is Merlin who was supposed to be the anti-Christ before being baptised at birth, putting a stop to that. His father is a demon (creature of the earth) and he often uses the name Mr. Sheep. The original plan was possibly for him to turn Artoria into the second half of Beast VI, and he might still try and do some of this without realising, such as putting the dragon core in her. Galahad doesn't bring the grail back to Camelot though which could have been what ultimately prevents her from fully transforming as her mindset was well on the way to becoming a Beast, with a twisted version of love where she loves everyone else but not herself, akin to Mara's type of love.

Not that a Beast is restricted to just one figure it seems, but if he does become a Beast, it'd be in the 6th spot.

As an extension of this, Beasts III and V are connected as well, likely being the Asian set. If Beast V does have two parts, the other part will be an Asian figure, and probably a Moon related figure to give the sun/moon dichotomy (so maybe Chang'e?).
