Best Heaven's Feel Ending?

I hear you, nothing worse than meaningless suffering. That's why although I like SLH more, the true ending is better and rounds it off nicer.

A poor choice of words on my part. I'm ok with endings that aren't happy as long as they're well written, which the Normal ending and SLH certainly are. It's just when characters have had a particularly rough time I just want the to be happy and I end up being a sucker for those happy endings.

I can't say I particularly like any of HF's endings, because I feel the denouement at the very end is one of the weaker parts of the route, but I appreciate how HF Normal reminds me a bit of the sad Far Side endings of Tsukuhime. Almost, but not quite there.

In seriousness I dislike both endings because
Shirou during the route's climax: Sakura could only smile when I was around, I want Sakura to be able to smile even when I'm not there!
HF True: Sakura was sad when Shirou wasn't there but then he got better so she's happy while he's onscreen
HF Normal: Shirou died and Sakura was sad and she turns down Rin's offer to live together and lives in Shirou's house and pines for him for the rest of her life and never loves again

it wouldn't even bother me as much if it hadn't been brought up in the first place but how do you have Shirou point out that Sakura's happiness being conditional on him being there is not a good thing and then fail to solve the problem at all anywaaaaay

SLH was cool and all but i never really considered it an 'ending' in the same way the true or normal end was.

True end had the super emotional illya scene which is the most touching scene in the route, but everything after just never left any impact for me. I guess i just never liked that it was just their 'happy daily lives'. Maybe nasu will add more meat to it like the UBW anime end.

I liked how normal went as a whole more then true with the lackluster epilouge, so i'll go with normal.

It's like one of those medical dramas where they start talking about how it's important to "learn how to move on" but then the patient gets better and doesn't die so what even is the moral here.
