Main plot of Cold Steel ended with 4 but Kondo said theres still more Cold Steel they wanna do, so it sounds like its gonna be a more fandisc esque game akin to Sky 3rd.

I'm just begging to every single deity there is that it will mainly focus on someone else than muh class 7, like how Sky 3rd was Kevins story + sidestories and foreshadowing.

I can see the argument for Gaius and Fie because their jobs require them to get involved in stuff and they have some connections to plot stuff, but Laura? She has absolutely nothing going on for her.

honestly i think imma say Gaius deserves it. The way cold steel mistreated him was a war crime.

So just started CS3. I really missed it. Though early game where there isn't much to do is a bit tedious. I'm super glad they only added a few new characters this time around. A whole new 10 characters on top of the returning 10+ would be way too much. I don't know how I feel about them replace Blade with this MtG knock off.

Its super simple, but that's what I liked about it. Being able to go super hard early on and overwhelm the CPU makes it way more satisfying. Also much quicker if you just want to finish off this batch of quests.

Fishing threw me for a loop too, since I was expecting more Simon, not this slowly edging forward version.

I've finally started plying Trails in the Sky. I'm about 8 hours in (+ some grinding), and I've just gotten to the top of the tower (for the second time because I felt like exploring it after the quest to save the kids. The location reminds me a lot of the Spirit Temples in Tales of Symphonia. And then a guy with blue hair and glasses shows up, and I'm like JESUS FUCK! RUN!!!

So I need some future knowledge from whoever has already beat Cold Steel 3, Do you get bond events with Le Guin? Because if I can get an ending with her, I'll be focusing on it super hard.

Unfortunately not, I wished they did. Falcom would be actual Chads if they did.

Heads up that there aren't many bonding events with Old Class VII and the final ones are underwhelming. They make up for it in CS4.

Sounds great, I'm on board. The next games were going to make it or break it for me as a Kiseki fan, as its no secret that im grossly emotionally uninvested in Cold Steel. Or I guess im invested but the emotions are negative kek.

Hajimari being a "filler" game like Third isnt a problem since Third is one of my favorites in the entire franchise.

I think I'd be more invested in a super crossover if all the games were available in english. One of my biggest gripes about Cold Steel 3 is the "hey, remember this last game" going on, that I have no context for. I can tell these Crossbell people are supposed to be hype, but the big damn heroes moment falls flat when I have no connection to them.

Fantranslations exist, though the quality is quite poor. Didnt stop me from absolutely loving both Crossbell games though. I feel like crossbell even through a wonked ass soulless literal TL had waaaaay more personality than Cold steel through Xseeds vibrant high quality TLs.

I disagree, the literal translations of those games I see whenever they crop up make me gag. Even then, I of course have my bias when it comes to the Crossbell games in place unfortunately.

I'm the opposite of you. I'm a lot more emotionally invested in the Cold Steel games with positive reception. I would have loved a CS5, but the story is already done as well for the characters. Sky the 3rd and the upcoming Trails game are not filler. No game in this franchise is made there for fluff or hollow material to pass the time.

Earlier it was announced that Hajimari will have 3 POVs: The hero, the hermit and the liberator. So now that its revealed that Lloyd is the liberator, that leaves us with hero and hermit.

from the sound of things theyre gonna drop the harem aspect and make Ellie tha canon pick? Im OK with that cause I really disliked Trails going persona, shit was soooo wack. Anyway im just glad Randy and Mireille might stop with the tsundere stuff and smash.
