yeah but that was because of what actually happens, not because A1 did a particularly good job
its more along the lines of "they didnt fuck it up much"
i could totally rip it apart if i wanted too but i felt hype instead and decided it was a good thing

More than any one thing, it's a combination of several things. Personality wise, he's really no worse than the litany of bland MCs TM has.

It's really just, at least for myself, that his position in the plot is tenuous at best.

I'm not like folks who begrudge him for taking the spot of "cool" noncharacters like some else here.

He just isn't Incorporated into the overall narrative that well really.
