Have they managed to make anybody not team mordred or Astolfo compelling?

I figure the chiron/achilles stuff should have happened by now so they should be cool 'not cardboard' now

The past two episodes were awesome if that can answer your question.

They made Achilles and Karna a small bit more likeable, but I'd say that's about it. Also, they handled Atalanta's death well, which is the only thing about her development in the second cour that I can describe to have been "done well".

Overall, like episdoes 9 and 10 in the first cour, I'd say that episodes 21 and 22 were that highlight for the second.

Just found out that Shakespeare's English VA is Keith Silverstein. The guy can do literally any voice that's given to him. Definitely one of the most versatile voice-over actors working today.

So I just caught up on the last few episodes and holy fuck is this getting bad. The riding of passenger jets, while a nice idea, looks stupid. Especially without embracing the insanity like Harlock or Gurren Lagann does. The fistfight between Chrion and Achilles has so many inconsistencies, like people getting puched off a wing and rolling to the tail fin, or someone getting slammed to the ground or thrown and standing upright in the cut right after. The lack of shading entirely in half the Atalanta/Jeanne fight, making it look like an entirely different art style, every few seconds. It looks like one fight from Naruto against Pain. Karna's fight did something similar but at least was consistent throughout the fight. Mostly. It still looked terrible, but it was uniformly terrible.

And how the hell did Caules get on the Gardens? During Chirons fight he was with Fastwheels on one of the planes and the next we see he's with Sieg in the rubble, injured?
