Sieg's time limit runs out and he's about to transform again, but Karna asks him to wait a bit and tells the two siblings to come out. He wants them to help out the original Red masters. Fiore wants something in return so she asks for Karna's lance. Karna says he can't because he promised to fight against Siegfried with all his might, so they work out a different deal. As in if Karna can't beat Sieg in three minutes, he has to let them go.
Also, Fiore's brother convinces her to get off the fortress and go home.

Through the whole show there was a lot of cut content, but no change has left me as baffled as this. Just why? What possible reason could they have to make this change? All they needed to do was animate Fiore aside Caules and maybe give her like two lines. Why change this? She would be as irrelevant as she already is to this climax, but at least you wouldn't have this dumb fucking lack of anyone addressing where she is. This is so idiotic.

No change has bothered me so much since they took away Siegfried saying he wanted to be a hero of justice. I don't even know why this bothers me that much specially considering the rest of the episode and other times the show has incompetent storytelling and how insignificant this is in the grand scheme of things.

I'm honestly trying to think if there's any reason Apocrypha is worth existing, most of the servants already existed and would probably be part of GO anyway. Amakusa and Achilles were made specifically for the LN right? And Jeanne too if I remember, but Apocrypha is a massive disservice to her character so she would be better off without it. Caules relationship with his sister is deeply relatable to me and is honestly one of the like two things I genuinely love about this. So I guess the only thing it has going for it is creating one of my favorite servants, making one of my favorite heroes a servant and creating a really good sibling relationship (which is rare in anime). Is that enough? I guess it is, I didn't even hate Apocrypha that much while it was airing, I was just bored for the majority of it and entertained a few times, and it's surprising to me that such a minor thing managed to get me this pissed.

Well, anime Apocrypha is a 5/10, whatever.

Don't allow yourself to fall under the illusion that Higashide can expand the rules of or your understanding of universal Nasu mechanics, for he himself does not understand them either. Simply try to find meaning in whichever character is written to match the generic anime archetype of your choosing, maybe close your eyes and pretend that it's you that's holding Jeanne's hands and not Sieg like most people that enjoy Apocrypha do, and move on.
