I'm actually happy to see Apocrypha getting an adaptation. The concept of it pleases me. Can't properly say the same for all that surrounds it.
First, the little we know of the staff doesn't sell it for me (Charlotte...?)
Second, I'm not sure A-1 will be able to really recreate Apo's atmosphere. You'll think I'm putting too much into an action-oriented anime, but still, all the things they did before was overall rather light-hearted compared to Apo.
Third, the trailer worries me. As it was pointed out, the trailer is always prettier than the actual thing, and I can't say it mindblows me. I mean, we have in a trailer with an introductional epic battle scene, and despite all that, some features still look to have been drawn in 5 seconds.
Last, the fact that A-1 is already directing many anime this year, and that they just announced it recently. I hope they agreed on the thing some time before, but it can't be long since Apo ended not so long ago.
Anyway, still a good year for fate fans.
