Considering the popularity of the mobage in Japan, that'd be a (good) surprise if all the people who played it have also read Apo and know about its plot, despite it being older.
At least it's clearly not the case for people in the English fanbase. Lots of people are just fine playing it to get some Emiya or Arturia action. (and it makes sense)

The biggest deciding factor on how good a show will look isn't "budget." It's good scheduling and talent.
