Canonically I think Toki would've been okay with the rapeworm stuff but not the fact they weren't actually teaching her any magic. So Kariya could've told him and saved both him and Sakura a lot of trouble, but Kariya was too blinded by hatred against the dude who pretty much stole his life away that he didn't even try.

EDIT: also IIRC there is some side material that if his stats weren’t enhanced via mad enhancement, Gil would have killed Lancelot with the gate of Babylon when they first went at it.

He's not a sociopath. He did genuinely care for his daughters, it's just that his upbringing as a Magus gave him a rather messed up way of expressing it. Toki is actually way kinder then your average Magi I reckon. Most would've probably handed off Sakura to be a guinea pig, while Toki at least wanted to give her a chance to prosper as a Magus. He's just a horrible judge of the character of creepy old men.

Kariya hated him so much that he didnt care to talk to him and judged that he was a beastt that sent his own daugher to hell, and Tokiomi, when Kariya mentions Sakura, doesnt even wonder why, he just thinks he is a loser and is talking no sense. Both were too busy in their own mind constructs , buth one had bugs and looked like a hobo and the other had a nice suit

I agree, but even I'd admit his motives aren't all good either.

He was angry at Toki cucking him and wanted Aoi back as "his" wife, which aren't exactly the most pure-hearted motives. I do think he genuinely cared about Sakura and wanted to save her though.

yup, im usually with you on this topic. And i dont recall anyone sayin he is some flawless hero, bu some just think of him as a loser who has the hots for someone elses wife and used tthis pord child as excuse, and some of us think he honesly cared abou her and waned her well being
