Not only does TM dissapoint me with the handling of the Roman servants, but now they go and show the most famous Roman structure in what is supposed to be a Greek setting.

Whilst I enjoyed this episode greatly, the history nerd in me was a bit annoyed by this. The Colosseum is probably the most famous Roman building, and amphitheatres in general originated with the Romans. This is obviously a minor complaint, but TM keeps disappointing me in its handling of Roman culture ;___; It's weird, because they usually do a good job when it comes to the Greeks.

If the Romans didn't want their buildings stolen maybe they should've kept their hands off of everybody else's religions.

Also in freeze frames before are a centaur (almost certainly Chiron), a beautiful woman (possibly Thetis), and Hector and Achilles fighting.

As flashy and fantastic Karna's fight is, i think the true highlight of him was actually his conversations with Sieg and Astolfo. Truly done his character justice right there

Very much so. Karna is the true hero of Apocrypha. Everybody pales in comparison before his radiance.

I started replying because I only now had the time to watch it.

Starting off, Karna is a legend, you'd never meet a HS so honorable as he is. The way he asked Caules to save the ex-Masters and even accepted his unreasonable proposal is the true highlight of his character. Such is the pride of a true hero. I went into episode eager for the Karna vs Sieg battle, but surprisingly, Jeanne vs Boarlanta was pretty intense. And boy, the moment when Achilles arrived is quite somber. His voicework is really well done in this part.

Oh and the Karna vs Siegfried fight, I don't know what's happening but shit was utterly pleasant to experience. The way Karna pulling off all his arsenals is a no joke on how he's going all out for real, while Sieg could only hope to keep up by Balmunging. I feel that Balmung has two versions of execution at this point; giant sword and beamu blast. The moment when Karna's activating VS, Ea quickly flashes to mind. Why is VS not an Anti-World goddammit. Just let him obliterate everythinggg. I was sure Sieg is now stronger than Siegfried just because, but I guess I was wrong? I consider the landscape being destroyed and volcano erupting as a mental imagery, kinda like Musashi vs Kojiro was in the realm of infinite and finite.

Achilles' Shield could've got some more details worked into it, and the way it flashes Achilles' life is pretty...eh. I would've preferred they went with the Shield's imagery starting from the Ocean toward the Sun and Moon.

I had to admit, but Karna's defeat is actually beautiful. Hell, he plead Astolfo to take care of Sieg as his parting word. You're a goddamn hero Karnaaaaa

Achilles vs Pigtalanta is pretty cool, I like how Achilles is idk...zeta fast. Though I feel that Achilles could've still lived through those arrows on his back (reminiscing a certain spiky hair man). Nitpicking aside, their death scene is quite touching and deep. Please make Cat happy.

Achilles in FGO already please.

tl;dr: I'm satisfied, Higashide is now 85% shit, A-1 staff are god, please fire the sound director.

Oh I guess I need to mention the blanch on Semi's lips makes for a good breather.

I get it's talking about Atalanta's feats but I'm curious why Peleus was mentioned as an achievement.

HOLY SUPER FUCKING SHIT!!!

This fights! this fights exceeded my expectations! seriously, in my mind I pictured the fight of Sieg vs Karna with a level of intensity as Saber vs Gilgamesh with the end as a tribute for that. This betrayed my expectations and I'm super grateful for that.

Same with the fight of Jeanne/Aquilles vs the flying pig. But mainly the fight of Karna. This episode doing justices to the existence that Karna with attacks nuke-level, eye lasser beams, BK and all that shit.

I must confess that I love this style of animation where you change the precision and accuracy for dynamism and fluency as the style of Trigger. Yeah, you can't make a pretty fight as Ufotable ones because you can't the necessary level but you can use all you have of this form. Is like some important battles in Naruto shift to a similar style. You see, I like the battle of Pain again for dynamism and fluency.

Now I want that Strange Fake would be animated for Trigger. Even if all designs shift to Trigger style. Yeah, only with thinking: a extended battle of Alkeides vs Gilgamesh, Gilgamesh vs Enkidu, Hansa vs Jester.

Now the next episode would be painful to watch, is in my opinion the part that fishish for shit in Jeanne as character.

Naw, I know of Arjuna's shady actions during the War and his guilt over killing Karna. I was just wondering about the specifics of what was said in the blob with it saying that Arjuna resorted to those measures because because he knew Karna was an enemy he couldn't kill without.
