Ep 7 is pretty good, admittedly. Liking Vlad's pre-war speech, and Red faction's scene is p cool overall.

I'd agree with that prediction of it being a cliffhanger shot. Although, another possibility is that she might be using it without its limiters off as that was the order she was given. Or, she could try using it with the limiters off and Caules has to stop her with a Command Spell.

...Although that last couple of seconds still makes it feel like it's being used as written. Damn, in the end all we can do is see how it unfolds.

Hope episode 8 will be able to hold together well; the preview looks promising with quite a bit of action.

Reading the sakugablog entries thus far, I feel both excited in lieu of the talent we've apparently had already and nervous that the production will actually manage to go straight to hell, by the show's end, and scream as it dies, "We'll be pretty and actually complete by the time the BDs release, you'll seeeeeee!" The final broadcast episode of "Grimgar of Fantasy & Ash"'s last real action set piece in episode 12 comes to mind, where it devolved into genga(?) purposefully obscured by darkness due to production troubles.

It's definitely been a ride that I found rougher than I imagined it to be; I've expected great things more so than not from A-1. Like, I still find the production quality 'good', but I feel we could've gotten much more. (Guess that shows how much I was spoiled by most of the A-1 series I've seen-- even Grimgar, which I thought managed to keep up super well for 11 of its 12 episodes!.)

Expecting good things of A1 after disasters like Qualidea Code, Denpa Kyoushi and Gunslinger Stratos is a bit too idealistic if you ask me.

first notes after seeing ep.8

Looks pretty decent, although with just how much stuff happens in this battle it's not a surprise that the episode only gets to cover the opening bits of each. As such it's a lot of little things thrown together, but that's mostly what I thought this episode and likely the next would be. Not sure whether most things will be resolved in next week's episode or a week after that, but I'm expecting ep.11 to heavily focus on Vlad, and 12 as the culmination with THAT as its key point. All in all, I liked it and will enjoy seeing the subs soon.

People were worried about that one scene where it looks like Fran is unleashing her NP full power because it was too early. I need subs, but it seems she was just either unleashing it not at full power or they just made her fighting style flashier.

Yeah I honestly not think that's when she's releasing at full throttle considering that when she did that in the book she wasn't even holding her mace but was in process of hugging Mordred.
