Tbf, Spartacus himself is a fkng joke. The complaint would then sooner be that they didn't milk the joke to the end.
He'd only be a joke if his NP was summoning 500 Spartacus's.
not the impression i have for him.
ill respect your opinion, but i also respectfully disagree

So, I read the LN up to this point in the anime, and I must say? It's actually improved the scene with Siegfried and the homuculus, and even the involvement of Jeanne being there wasn't unwelcome. It definitely wasn't in the LN, and her being there is the first indication we have that there will be changes that might be made specifically to make the story better. Even the whole Siegfried saying his name to Karna makes sense to me. Since Karna told him his name, basically giving away something important in context of this war, Siegfried is a knight, and it would be a stain upon his honor and noble oath to not give Karna the same courtesy.
It's not to say that this series will be all that good in the upcoming episodes, but honestly they have made stuff flow better because of the additions they made. Siegfried's background happening in the third episode, and how it ties in to this scene makes the impact of his sacrifice more poetic. I dunno about Jeanne being there changing anything, so we'll see.
And to be honest, while the battle scenes are fast, they aren't handled all too badly. It's flashy, sure, but flashy enough. It's short, sure. But I'd rather have a short, pointed battle rather than long drawn out fight with nothing but pointless choreography. I'm not into fate just for the battles, I'm here for the characters. The weight of the battle matters more to me, than the sequence of it. I can see the flaws in the their animation style, but its minuscule enough that I don't give it any attention the first time I watch it. This just means its cherrypicking to actually point that out.
Spartacus actually had a pretty cool moment where he actually stops smiling after hearing that the black team wants to enslave him, but from what I hear A1 took that out.
Just watched the episode.
Them not mentioning anything about Achilles' immortality really just made Siegfried look like a total chump in their tiny skirmish.Especially when the former just stopped him with one hand like nothing.
The entire thing felt way too cluttered for me to care at all the Gordes thing with the CSs and Sumanai casually revealing his True Name went nowhere interesting either but oh well Atalanta is pretty so that's something.
And I honestly kinda liked how they handled Siegfried's last momnets,he looked so satisfied
i just couldn't take it entirely seriously either because of all the Sumanai memes FGO spawned though
no spoilers.I'll see for myself if its bad.
Put spoilers when it reached vol 3 and annul it once it hits vol 4!
Something
While I honestly don't think Apo is that bad so far, this does annoy me.
Have they even bothered to explain any of the NPs so far? A lot of the fun in Servant fights is Noble Phantasms, but if they don't actually explain what any of them do (or why) then they lose much of their appeal.
