It also depends on where you are in the country. To be fair to skull, native somerset people are normally pretty short apparently (based on my mum complaining about all the short men down south). That said I noticed a hell of a lot of massive beef cases at school who played rugby and that sorta stuff.
Let's go over the reason why: firstly, you can fit better inside a cockpit. Don't want to be the guy who has a hard time keeping comfortable in the hot seat.
Second, you handle G-forces a lot better. The reason for this is that your blood will spread out over a shorter distance, compared to a taller pilot's, and so you'll have an easier time maintaining consciousness under G-load as long as you maintain AGSM breathing. G-LOC shall never touch ye.
It's a sweet gig and you should go for it.

Mine are 14cm; I have tiny, practically child sized wrists.

Idk 14cm is not quite child sized. I know a girl with way smaller hands which I'd call truly child sized. And she plays bass with those hands.
On the other hand, bracelet of the watch parents bought me when I was in grade school still fits perfectly...

Oh neat, so let's see.
I'm about 5'11" (when I'm not slouching) or around 180 cm tall. I'm... bleh, 170 lbs which I guess would be around 77-78 kg. I've gained a bit of weight over the last half year adjusting to teaching and not exercising last semester and this semester I've just been lazy due to the cold (hard to motivate myself to run outside when its freezing out).
I don't really have a tape measure on hand, but with a ruler my wrists are roughly... 16-17cm around? Some error in that one.
