Thumbs are a unique existence that cannot be compared to the rest of the fingers. I try not to pop my neck anymore. I noticed it seems to cause more pain then it fixes.

After sitting for a while, my legs get pretty sore. Only stretching myself until the ankles pop seems to fix it.

Also I always seem to be carrying backpacks and that's hard on the shoulders, so I crack them to recover mobility.

My jaw also routinely pops when eating sandwiches.

I can do that with my jaw also but that's partially because I have a small mouth.

Joint cracking is disadvantageous for a serial killer. Makes you less stealthy

Also not so great for ninjas either.... Kind of hard to be stealthy if suddenly, while mid-sneak, something creaks.
Now if you bend over in pain & go "oww, oww, oww", you are definitely screwed.
