In Dawn of Mana the MC dies and the MC's crush becomes the fucking tree, making the Goddess of Mana troll the MC before she was even born.
In Children of Mana, I don't remember quite clearly but it had to do with the MC's crush staying out of his reach as well. Ah, it's also the Goddess of Mana's fault.
In Sword of Mana, the heroine turns into the Goddess of Mana, trolling you again.

As much as I adore the series, to this day I still have not completed the Dark Prince scenario in Seiken Densetsu 3.
I have played through both the Masked Magician and the Dragon Emperor, but still not the Dark Prince. I am ashamed. ;_; Though I plan to pick it up again some day soon.
