Maybe I've been spoiled by FGO, but this anniversary stuff...left me kinda underwhelmed, to be honest. Well, 50 orbs for the Myrrh fund, I guess, and however many I can get from quests before her banner is down.
I think 50 orbs and a free 5* of whichever characters turns out to be the most popular for everyone is about as good as the FGO anniversary, particularly if you consider how generous the rates in FEH are.
Eh, the orbs run out fast, despite the higher rates. I mean, it's barely 12 pulls, less so if you're color sniping, and rates only increase by .25 every five pulls anyways. I've already gone down 150 orbs just trying to get Myrrh, and I doubt the next 50 are going to fare much better.
Sure, there's Legend Fest, but if you're not interested in the banner characters (same with Hero Fest), you're not really getting any advantage. And the free 5* can end up a dud unless you happen to like the character that ends up winning. And that's not even counting the possibility of it being a repeat.

And even then, outside more orbs (literally the only thing to do in this game is getting orbs...) and some banners (which to me were disappointing since all we got is yet another Ike instead of a newcomer), what else of substance was added or changed or announced? A rhythm game and some repeat maps (for more orbs)? Even most of the announced GHBs were already previously rerun.

100% agreed. I'm on the verge of dropping the game as a whole, mostly just waiting to see if they fixed the glaring issues in terms of lack of content. Lasting content, at least. This tower tapping thing might provide an hour or two of content, but they don't seem to understand people want to play the game for more than 15 minutes a day.
Guess I'll just bide time until DanMachi ENG comes out and then uninstall if they haven't gotten their heads out of their asses.
They're inflated due to the number of units on a banner. It's still about the same as FGO's rates.

I got RD Ike, Gunnthra, Summer Robin and another Performing Azura in less than 100 orbs. It doesn't feel that way to me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Anecdotal evidence means literally nothing. You can get half a dozen 5-stars in FGO in a couple of 10-rolls, but that doesn't make it normal. Math and stats are far more important.
Legendary Banners are the actual worst. Only thing I ever got was when I squeezed literally every last orb I had and only got a crap Gunnthra after about 50 rolls.

I'm still assuming they'll be story unlocked like Fjorm was eventually. It feels like we'll get a free Gunnthra after the next story chapter.
