Based on my experience last year, all you have to do is aim for Valentine's Lyn, not have a blue orb appear, and there's a 60% chance it'll be Hector. The other 40% is Lilinia to ensure your rate-up gets reset.

Well I got Winter Eirika while trying to go for Hallow Mia. Can’t really complain since it does allow me to have an armored healer and I guess I could still try for HS Sakura for a flier healer.
What I can complain however is her IVs (+SPD,-ATK).

And I got a 2nd Valentine Hector. Who should I give Distant Counter to? I feel like Duma needs it more but idk who actually does need it. Duma is really really OP. And what S Skill (4th Skill Slot) does Duma need?

If you want OP Duma, give him Distant Counter. There is also the possibility of merging the Hectors.

Selkie's voice is so annoying. That said, I think her or Kaden are the best of the bunch, and her Attack Sabotage MIGHT be fodderable. Also, hope we get a whole suite of Sabotage skills.

Oh I totally agree, but it does explain things. Personally, I feel the children themselves were rather redundant in Fates, except MAYBE in Heirs of Fate. Frankly, when I learned we were getting Awakening-style supports with kids, that was when I knew, 3.5 years ago, that Fates was going to disappoint.
