The simple summary is Jing Ke bought Hydra Posion to coat her weapon to assassinate Ying Zhens (complain 1: Higashide didn't bother to do research to realize that Chinese Shan Hai Jing also has a same creature with same properties). She described Qin as a lively but mechanically orderly country which is unnerving. Ying Zheng is described to be a muscular man with dragon teeth, living tumors at his back giving him energy and powerful presence (complain 2: First Emperor of Qin being either a puppet for Demon Pillar or is one himself, maybe even a construct by Lu Buwei).

They are mostly mad at the demonizing of the emperor and the Qin dynasty and the Chinese culture, that's all. As for the salt river interview, fanatics in different countries overreacted anyway.

I get it. Well we can only wait until they release Shi Huangdi as a Servant to really see what's up with him. To be honest I'm not surprised by the added elements to him really. Ever since SF I was wondering how they would wank him enough the be China's strongest hero, tho I didn't expect it like this.

Personally, I think Higashide is just staying through to TM's morality compass, you can never do good without evil, and he is actually staying true to history since Qin was a highly functional war machine at that time where the people are ferocious fighters on the battlefield but obedient citizens in normal times due to the very strict laws imposed. It will be pretty cool if the tumors are the sins of humanity that Ying Zheng choose to bear to create a utopia without evil but not removing people's emotions. Pretty common trait seen in TM if you ask me.

That's what I believe to be as well. I'm impressed how TM decided to make an original yet in character story: having Edmond Dantes avenge his mentor before avenging himself despite the risks and roasting Roa in the process.
