That moment Ruby showed up was absolutely amazing. I guess somebody at ArcSys is a Rwby fan? It'd be kind of odd if she was the only English-voiced character when everybody else is speaking Japanese though...
It's largely a mvc2 situation just looking from thr sprites.
Essentially reused assets with the exception of Ruby.
GG and DBZ are currently unlikely given their using 3d models and and DBZ or GG sprites would look horribly out of place... Unless they do the joke morrigan thing and ridiculously scale them up.

While a fair few employees of rt are voice actors, RT isn't a dubbing studio.
And it really shows sometimes.
Back on topic though, I wonder what size roster we're looking at here. BB has like 40 characters, P4U has 21, UNIEL has 20 and RWBY has god knows how many. Even cutting down rosters to just the memorable ones you'll probably have the 16 original BB characters, the 8 investigation Team members and Labyrs, the 11 original arcade UNIEL characters and probably team RWBY and JNPR. Even the potential bare bones has 44 characters, even if they MVC2 it and only have to make the RWBY ones from scratch they still have to adapt three games into one style. Are the UNIELS just going to have a button that does nothing but short hop? On the other hand I can easily see the RWBY characters getting BB mechanics, since they already have individualBloodline LimitsDragon MagicNenSemblance.

Are you sure other Rwby characters are going to be involved? I could be wrong, but my impression was that it was just Ruby herself appearing as a promotional tie-in of sorts, not a full-scale crossover.
And if it is (which would be cool as fuck, don't get me wrong), I think they'd have been better off making a straight-up Rwby fighting game, assuming all the other ArcSys characters are just re-used anyway.
Nah, they're better off with a cross game.

I never really found the BB music that distinctive to get excited about that, but playing a match with "I Burn" as the BGM sounds sick.

I hope they include the original roster from each of the involved games at the very least. I mean that's like 30-ish characters already but spritework isn't going to be that much of a problem, I hope.
Fuck I can play Orie and Mitsuru together. This can't be real, come on.

When I saw this pop up on evo stream I thought it was a GG crossover because the stage looked like one of the rev stages.
Then I got Uniel characters, and, p4a characters, and it's a game with ragna,
and I creamed myself
I guess rwby was there too but the only feeling it instilled in me was a deep desire that you can mute voices.
