I can see that the duel is the object, but in reality dueling with swords? really death or injury is an accepted risk. Maybe not as bloodthirsty as real!Musashi but if she had to kill someone capable of dueling her, her response would probably be something like gg ded guy gg.

Kinda see Chaotic Good... though prior to meeting Guda I'd say she's chaotic neutral. She says she does help when something happens in front of her, yet she's also the type to bail out if the going gets tough.
Prior to meeting Guda. Which is why I say that we see the best of her as Guda.

Guess you don't get the the romance of the way of the warrior either huh?
It's less about being a stern coldblooded swordfighter all the time but utter conviction within herself and her beliefs in her path to 'zero'. It's why she challenges the strong all the time and she reaffirms her destination even as she's babysitting.
So yes, though it may seem dumb - once swordsmens eyes meet it's time to duel and all that.
One of her bond lines has it right. Kanon warns that a personal attachment would dull her sword. She's not 'human' as in a person that lives a normal life. Despite her demeanor she's dedicated to the sword and is something else.
Unless you summon her and tempt her from the path I guess. There's a little inconsistency between her Chaldea version to the one who reached zero ded'd and then checks out modern Earth's food.

Beat the Singularity yesterday. Injoyed the story and wounder if the item menchened at the end importent to this arc or the next one. The hardest battle for me was the Rider and Berserker. I needed to use Gil, for power, who already was at 10 Bond, BB to deal with the charm, and Tamamo, helped with heal and boost BB NP, who also has a Max Bond. The rest of the the battles were Tama Shark and Kuro for the wins and help boost the bond of my Knight class servants. Strange_One love the pick. I've always been drawn to her positive energy even in bad moments though that could be because of Chiwa Saito.

Incorrect. I get exactly what they were going for, but they simply did not present it well enough for it to feel earned or justified. Musashi had literally just gone through regretting having provoked ____ and causing him to turn into a demon to chase after her (her typical swordsman rashness) . _____ already stole the slot of the epic last boss "we need to beat you to set everything right" fight. That last fight in the flaming castle was shoehorned in with the flimsiest of explanations, and no amount of "but it's DESTINY for us to fight!" (even though it ACTUALLY IS!) will make it flow naturally without having actually set the stage in the Singularity itself in advance. In particular, Musashi reaching "zero" before this particular fight was a major pacing error, in my opinion.

Ahh right, it felt lacking because it came up short. I didn't mind it as a tale told in the confines of a mobage. Aren't old japanese stories kinda procedural in their structure? The whole escalating progression of enemies til the climax of the story. Then they meet with their fated rival because it was fated. He was hanging around the bad guys most of the time and foreshadowed so it felt inevitable he'd step up.
Normally this kind of story doesn't interest me at all so I felt it was pretty good for being able to keep me into it.

BTW, Musashi foreshadowed the whole Himeji thing in Shimousa pretty heavily. I don't know if she's actually present in this event, but it would be hilarious if she was.
