After having been at the vanilla Dango event so much of the afternoon (first time experiencing the event in its first form), I can see what people meant by "5 AP Hell."

I recall one of Gudao's/Gudako's dialogue options early on being something to the effect of "Let's get to grinding, Mash!"

And then there was this late-game dialogue:

Anyway, I managed to get my second Moonlight Fest CE via a drop. Should I just keep farming until I reach the amount of dango for the 2k dango shop CE, or do most people feel comfortable at two shop CEs and start spending on the other shop items first?

Just finished all the later quests, got Lore, and now I'm starting on the 5AP. I now understand the hate.

Cú Chulainn was already one of my favourite characters in the franchise. Then there was Caster!Cú Chulainn who manages to be even more interesting (even though I first didn't like that he had Wicker Man just because he's a mage, he's Celtic, he gets Wicker Man). But thanks to "GO", I appreciate him even more! Seriously, a team of Cú Chulainns (Caster, Prototype and original flavour, plus another for support) is like a bunch of cockroaches, only these cockroaches also have powerful single-target damage with their NPs. Not as flashy as other characters, but damn effective.

I have my main done, and other 2 (my GF and my alt) didn't get any caster gem at all.

My GF start wondering if these shitty master missions are on purposely let us "have a taste of the shitty experience of early FGO JP".....

I don't blame her. The current state of the dailies are really shitty for completing the missions. At least I won't have to feel the itch when looking at my uneven number of fragments anymore since I know it was all meaningless in the end anyways

Either that, or they just don't want to have to update the game with some stuff prematurely. They knew what worked back then, they know it'll work now, and I doubt NA'll get as many "maintenance" bugfixes as they gave JP.
