running 5 3* ce for candles for example gives you +10 for each item drop without counting support, for 5-6 item drops that would be 50-60. 60-70 with support.for 20 ap.
and you can buy all CEs except for pumpkin ones from the shop itself in sufficient quantity.

Moon Festival CE gave you+3 regardless of how many dumplings dropped after the fight. So if one dropped you got 4, if 5 dropped you got 8 and not 20.

no, thats 4 trick or treats from the shop and free jack o lantern (which everyone gets from a story quest), each CE gives +2 by itself
you clearly pulled the total drop numbers from somewhere so you could've checked the same place for how much CE gives

i only elaborated on drop part since if you checked cirno there wouldnt be clear explanation of drops. And it only lists base drops and not the number of drops (since those are fairly random). Probably the same goes for other wiki's, i dont really follow those.

the only CE for drops which is gacha only is petite devil, and riding your whale friends (or not friends for that matter) dick with LB petit devil will cover your pumpkin drop bonuses

yes, +3 on top of base drops.
if you got 5 item drops with 3 base each you would get 5 * 6

You're misunderstanding what Aozaki is saying. When he says "drops", he means individual drops that are shown to "drop" from the enemy. When you're saying "drops", you seem to be meaning the amount of currency that each drop contains. You're basically saying the same thing, but you don't realize it.

Ie: If a run of a quest has 4 drops each containing 5 currency each, running 5 +2 CEs would change the total gained from 20 to 60 (+10 per drop at 4 drops).

Do the final drops get displayed differently during this event? Like, are there four symbols showing the candle at the end, each with his own separate amount?

Let's break it down so it's a little easier to get.

If you get one drop that contains five X, then a +2 CE would add 2 onto that single drop. You get 7 X overall., for the drop plus the bonus added onto the drop.

If you get ten drops that each contain five X, then a +2 CE would add 2 onto each of those single drops. That's 10x5 for the regular drops, and the bonus 20. You get 70.

The 50 day log-in bonus stuff isn't reset, just your weekly rewards streak.

Your main source of pumpkins will be from the Guerilla and Party Time battles, so make sure to bring someone with a LB Petit Devil or whatever as support. Otherwise, you're hoping for some drops from the Vlad and Tamamo Cat battles.

Pumpkins only drop from skeletons that have a pumpkin head, which are not a guaranteed spawn.

Edit: Correction, apparently they only drop from the Pumpkin Leader, which is not a guaranteed spawn.
