I welcome the English version. It'll be nice to actually understand the story in a story-driven game and I don't have that much of an attachment to my JP account since I only started 3 months ago and haven't spent any money on it.

all the datamining up to this point made me really appreciate all the work

and when they throw an actually challenging fight at us its always fun. Ibaraki, Nerofests, Salmon, etc.

Core game systems are not the problem. Gameit tries to be very accessible which is why we're not getting difficult content often. Which is fine. (but really nothing is stopping them from doing both at the same time. Hunting quests redux when).

And they even said that FGO will be try to be more oriented on veteran players from now on, requiring Shinjuku to participate in events and such. So i guess we will have to see how that plays out.
(which is now that i think about it might partially just be connected with all the localization game they got going now).

I am planning to play all 3: JP, TW and NA. Japanese account as my main, the Taiwanese and English account for comparing the translation. I am a hardcore F2P so starting all over again doesn't that matter to me, but getting all/most of the story, lore and jokes out of the game does.

The whole point for making english version is to make money, so why would they allow veteran player to transfer their "already heavily-whaled" japanese account to the new game and NOT BUYING QUARTZ?

I'm not going to play the English version because repeating the story multiple times would be against what fgo stands for, we cannot redo the past, the dead cannot be brought back to life, our journey happened only once and that is why it is beautiful


also because i have a disease where if i see a translation of a thing i've already read i have to get mad that it's not the way i would have done it and it's not healthy

As a quick note they did say they are open to the possibility of an eng patch to the jp game for those already deep into the jp ver

On the bright side, jp version will surely outlived other version. Which is good for people who can read moonrunes or just fine with its gameplay. I doubt the future of this version as seem not much people see appeal in TM stories and its business model. Still going to play it and now I need that Gacha for idiots book.
