He was profoundly useful to me during Rashoumon. And while doing high-level farming with bonus Servants during the Summer event.

He is great. Just not the best single target damage dealer.

Jalter has more ATK and an ATK buff, but hits for neutral damage. She's only more useful against Rulers and Berserkers, and when she gets crit stars.

Plus, Cú Alter's only gotten one gacha where he was the sole SSR Rate-Up in over 2 years. Jalter gets 3.

Jeanne Alter's ATK up, Crit Up, high attack stat and Avenger damage modifier make up for that. Cu Alter's advantage over her is his survivability, not his damage.

I'm not advocating for burning him, but he's not the best.

Also, while Jalter does neutral damage, she dosn't have a type disadvantage yet. Not nearly as squishy as a Zerker overall.

I just talked about her higher ATK and Dragon Witch skill. And Berserkers also get a 1.1* base damage modifier.

Whenever the alternative is "or should I save for Merlin" you should probably save for Merlin, unless you decide to go waifus over gameplay (as I am rolling for Ishtar, for example). Dick wizard is broken and he's not easy to come by outside of his rate-ups.

The fact that she has golden tail means she is indeed a golden jackal, a type of jackal originally inhibit India date back to 20,000 years ago (suddenly Amaterasu being Indian and witnessing attack on titan makes a lot of sense). What she said in Extra is referencing the good old syncretism shenanigans. The golden jackal is considered to be the manifestation of Dakini-ten and upon merging with Chinese culture they don't have jackals, so they use Chinese words (野干) to pronounce the name of the creature as "yakan". Later on this shenanigan spread to Japan and it influenced the Inari and Uka no mitama worship in Shinto. So technically speaking when you talk about kitsune deities in Japan, they are not actual foxes but jackals.

Yeah but finding Merlin in supports will be so easy after his intro, just like finding a Waver is now.
