Anyway, just to clarify since I've seen people get a little confused:
There were originally three people on the team. One was added at the start of the year (me; I was in general production for the half year before, working on things like MCLL and Kiznaiver). One then left in the spring, bringing it back to three. One was added shortly before AX, bringing it back up to four. We're currently in the process of breaking in a new one on top of that. There is the general producer, a translator, a QCer, and now two editors. There are other people that have a hand in marketing or the like, but this is specifically the Loc team.
Two of us are hardcore fans, two are complete newbies, and one was a casual fan that would far prefer it if we were working on a new Melty Blood instead.
I'm not Albert (this one confounds me). He likes to tell my story to anyone he meets, but his own notice-me-Aniplex-senpai moment isn't horribly different and relates to UBW anime and if he keeps talking about that I'm going to retaliate and start telling his YOU HEAR THAT I WILL NOT BE BANANA'D
Don't take everything as being some kind of dump on Japan. There are plenty of things we are and can be responsible for. Like any group effort. But yeah your read on the situation is probably about right.

From what it sounds like, they're more in charge of the US release than Aniplex USA is. They were the ones who told Albert & Co. They couldn't go on social media and discuss anything regarding the game, they're the ones Albert's gotta go running to every time he wants to give away an SQ or two.
