Shiki (Assassin) will remain the best SR Assassin until Carmilla gets her NP strengthening quest during Part 2.

NP5 Shiki deals 1500% damage.

NP1 Carmilla deals 1200% base damage and 1800% damage to women and lolis.

NP2 Carmilla deals 1500% base damage and 2250% bonus damage to females.

They both have a +25% NP boost and a way to increase their damage, but Shiki has a dodge while Carmilla can drain NP.

Carmilla is better overall because of Memelin synergy.

For a single NP, NP5 Shiki beats NP5 pre-interlude / NP1 post-interlude Carmilla against females in terms of damage. Shiki is still easily the 2nd best single target NP SR Assassin even after Carmilla's NP interlude, and 3rd or so overall assuming NP5 for the others.

What? Carmilla's Overcharge Super Effective multiplier is 1.2-1.7 pre-interlude, 1.5-2 post-interlude. That Super Effective increase alone made Carmilla really good.

Shiki's is 20%-30%, Carmilla's is 18%-27%. Even after Carmilla's NP interlude, Shiki is still extremely useful to have because that extra bit of NP gauge matters if you want to NP immediately or not.

Except that by the time she really gets to benefit from double Merlin, everyone will have Mecha Eli-chan.

Even if you give it the 20% ATK bonus (it'd put it at 960%), you have to factor in the 0.8 times Quick multiplier (which would put it at 768%).

I mean, as usual I will use tickets to roll on interesting banners and will keep to accumulate quartz for Best Clay, Jouji Nakata, Autistic Detective, Not-Sakura and Naked Loli Yog-Sothoth

Went back and found it, so I'm just gonna post it anyway.

More specifically, of the New Year's Wallet Murder Gauntlet:

Merlin gets his one rateup, reappears in the 10 Million Download commemoration banner alongside OG Saber and Lartoria, and never gets another banner (outside of GSSRs).

Ishtar gets her solo rateup, appears in the New Year's Pickups with all the other limited Servants, shows up in the 9 million downloads commemoration banner with Orion and Arjuna and gets another solo rateup next Christmas (again not counting GSSRs).

Musashi appears in both New Year's Pickup banners, again at Shimousa (where she's the only 5*) and gets a solo rate-up next Christmas+next New Year's Pickup.

King Hassan gets his solo rateup and never reappears again until the 11M Download Campaign.

So all in all, if you want'em all (and I can painfully sympathise with that) you'd be better off saving this batch of quartz for Memelin and/or Gramps.

Well, note that he also appears in GSSRs after this one (though DW might change things up again to stick him in this one too) while iirc Musashi doesn't. But yeah, she gets a few rateups after her first.

Her design… it’s just so boring…

MFing Assassin King, or the host of exciting 4*s… I could go for minidusa and have a chance at getting CasGil, who I’ve heard is a very good caster, but at the same time… SNAKES! I want a snake monster…

and I actually have a burning desire to avoid using Merlin whenever possible…

Anyone think a team composition thread would be a cool idea? Not entirely as a guide of course, just for fun, though if someone got the urge to explain just how well a certain team is working for them, that’s fine too.
