Not exactly sure who the first guy is, but I'm pretty confident that you'll be fighting the both of them in the same singularity. Actually, that's around where FGO starts to get difficult. A little tidbit, Archers will be your best friend, and an anti-male Archer like Orion will be your MVP for the majority of the singularity.
If you notice suddenly increasing levels of edge, a resemblance to a certain character, and distinct-looking art style you might remember somewhere, that's probably the count you're looking for.

One-use CEs are the worst. Herc's one gets a pass for being almost as good as Cu's dodge skill, but usually they feel like crap to use.

Herc's is amazing for soloing bosses because they end their turn after breaking guts if there's no other target.

I had better luck with those trying in Septem's forest, but I forgot if there was a better chance to get the gold skill gem from there too
Looking at the Reddit drop rate table...
Chaos Talons go for 370.6AP/each in Monster Hunt: Cavalries (Intermediate), and do not drop in any of the other Monster Hunt varieties.
They also go for 468.8AP/each in Septem's forest, yeah. The drop rate is lower, by the way, it's just that it's available on days other than friday.
Gold skill gems don't drop anywhere other than Monster Hunts right now. Advanced is best for the Knight classes, and Archer doesn't drop in Intermediate. Advanced is also best for the Cavalry classes except Berserker, who's better off with the Intermediate one. Which also won't drop Rider gems.
