Minor Fou Spoilers:

For anyone wondering, this isn’t just played for laughs. It’s also Fou getting so incensed by Merlin that he forgets he’s not supposed to be able to talk for a second. He hates Merlin because Merlin raised him. As such, they ended up very similar. In other words, they see all of their own worst traits in the other. And Merlin has a lot of those.

Regarding Ishtar

I mean, for all the complaints and memery I expected Ishtar to be far bitchier than she actually turned out to be. She was basically a less tsundere Rin throughout, with comical interludes interspaced here and there. The worst thing she did was, what, extort some farmers whose lives she actually saved? Heck, Quetz and Eresh MURDERED a couple hundred people each, and everything was forgiven by the end because "well ACTUALLY we weren't really evil and were secretly planning on saving humanity all along". Not that I didn't love both, but it seems to be a bit of a double standard.

Her color scheme is perfect and bow-boat is great.



Ana is still worse, what with all the cut-outs on her clothes and literally wearing a dog collar suggestively on her final art.

The rest of her design is fine, but her final ascension really is rather worrying.

Jaguar Warrior was the hardcore one, being paid sacrifices, not seeing the point in the sparing lives of the defeated soldiers, and eating Amakusa and Kotaro off-screen all without recompense.

The problem with minidusa is that her ascension stages feel out of order unless you think of it in the same way as a Jack.

But really, they should have built on the assassin motif instead of taking the cloak off. Because her first ascension is actually very cool.

Well, both Quetz and Eresh brought everyone they killed back so it's fine.

I think that Babylonia has more of that grand epic feeling, whilst Camelot was more of a character driven conflict.

I like both equally, in the end. Both stories were nice, unlike the last 5 I slogged through.

I must say that Nasu's emotional whiplashes still grate me a bit, but having read the FSN it's not as bad as it used to be, I think.

After finishing Babylonia, I ended up liking Ishtar more than Eresh but enjoyed bullying Eresh more funnily enough


I'm still not going to do a 10 roll for either of them though, particularly Ishtar since I can still get her next year summer.

Slow spanning epic with constant build up of apocalyptic dread is fun. Also it felt like I was reading a visual novel, which is also fun. Ending part especially was unbelievably hype for me at least

Camelot is a fast paced drama, with Babylonia being kind of it's opposite. It really depends on your tastes on which you like more. Camelot gave me more feels, but I give points to Babylonia for putting me on the edge of my seat more
