Spent six tickets to get another Poster Girl.
got Medusa Lily instead.
I mean… Yay, I’m really happy about it because I love her animation and it means I have all three Medusas.
I suppose the odds of rolling her aren’t much lower than the poster girl. Still, weird.
Likes attention, shiny objects, and... a ball of yarn?

According to the banner while ingame, it still says 2 Days left, so going by that and the odd schedule for this event, I think it's still active until early Thursday morning, giving us almost several hours of odd dead time until Chacha event.
Had an odd pull myself Drac; On a multi I did at the start, I pulled Assassin of Shinjuku. Similar reaction to you, I was all "...Okay?" I was thinking the Shinjuku Servants were story-locked until I finished it for whatever reason (except for the Shinjuku banners) and thought none of them would be in the base banner pool since I haven't even started Shinjuku yet.

Emiya Alter is the only storylock for Shinjuku iirc.
From what I've seen, you have to complete both of them since each side has either Chacha's Ascension mats or NP copy mats, and they're mutually exclusive. So I guess the idea is to focus on one side for the first several days, max out its point value, than swap to the other.

Crazy. I must complete one of them before the divergence begin or I can complete the opposide side after the story done?

I think you can swap sides whenever you want, you just want to focus one side or the other to have them win the main Raid style battles for certain mat rewards. After the first 3 are over, I think there's an endless style one as well as Free quests where you can farm both sides points simultaneously (along with the Free Quests that are there regardless for Shop currency to trade in).
I've sure there will be guides coming from the YT content creators as well as FGO/reddit posts that'll highlight the ideal strat, just keep an eye open for them in the coming days.

if you mean Opposing Forces, they're essentially the Raid style fights; basically, when it's time for one of these battles each Master/player picks a side to fight for, generating points for your chosen faction with each of the Free Quest battles that appear during the time these battles are up. Those points are tallied together to show a running number at the top of the screen on the game's main menu area similar to how we've seen Raid boss HP bars, but more in a 'Tug of War' style. Once the time for that Opposing Forces battle has expired, a Decisive Battle for the side that had more points (won) from that Opposing Forces battle will appear, and completing it will add bonus points for that faction to your personal farming total. To be eligible for those bonus points though, you have to do at least 1 battle to gather points during that Opposing Forces run, so being lazy and trying to only do the Decisive Battle quests won't net you any bonus points. Seems the 3rd one will be the Endless one until the end of the event.
In short, when one of those battles starts just farm the highest one you're able to do as efficiently as you can, trying to get enough Currency to buy the Castle/Fortress In The Sky CEs to give point multipliers for even more runs. Get the Wolves of Mibu CEs in your team if you need to boost damage for your party, and so you'll be able to free up more CE spots in your lineup for any gacha CEs you roll to make the farming faster.
Takes a bit to wrap the head around, but in the end it's similar to the Raid concepts we've been through already.

So, which side are you guys supporting first? I'm not a particular fan of either Nobu or Okita, but it feels like the Shinsegumi are going to have more than enough support already without me so I'm thinking Oda forces.
shit BL says
Once and always and nevermore.
The winning side to finish quicker, so probably Okita.
Nobu has the Lanugo's for their rewards, though Shinsengumi does have Gallstones too... Hm, tough decision for the start. Of course, going to have to hit both point ladders anyhow so...
I guess the question really is how did JP end up doing the event? That'll likely be the largest factor I feel.

I don't have any particular emotional attachments to either side, so either I'm going to support the Shinsengumi out of Rurouni Kenshin nostalgia (particularly if Hijikata is cool), or I'm going to support Nobunaga simply because Demon King of Hell is a badass nickname.
Demon King of Heaven though
