Code Vein demo to add new stage, multiplayer mode, and customized character export feature
Bandai Namco will release an update for the Code Vein demo that adds the high-difficulty “Town of Sacrifice” stage, multiplayer mode, and the ability to bring customized character from the demo into the full game, the company announced.
A release date for the update was not announced.
Spoiler:
Powered by the magma coursing through its veins, the Successor of the Claw, is a formidable feline foe not easily defeated. Brandishing an enormous blade and searing claws, it can pounce around the battlefield with terrifying agility, all while dishing out lightning-quick swipes and slashes. The Successor of the Claw’s weapon mastery doesn’t end there, as its powerful blazing shuriken can slice through the air to attack from range. Revenants be warned—the Successor of the Claw can also unleash a devastating explosive lunge across the battlefield, leaving only a trail of scorching embers in its wake.

I will be playing this game whenever the time allows it. However dark souls and anime just seem to fit well. I hope the game isn't awful. High hopes!

The game... is out.......
Anyone played it? How is it? I wanna grab it and the Surge, but I'm worried it's just animu children tropey cliche'd nonsense slapped onto a decent combat system.

Yeah, I like it so far.
Basically, Code Vein : Dark Souls :: God Eater : Monster Hunter. It isn't just Anime Souls - it's the Shonen Manga version of Dark Souls, with the same sort of characterization and events. You get straightforward personalities, backstories explicitly retold, and histories revealed, all with little to no subtly or deep thought required.
The combat system seems a little shallower than Dark Souls so far, but the class and skill system is interesting.
My main concern is how much of the game is going to require the inevitable-but-not-yet-announced DLC to be complete. The God Eater games really needed it, and were rather short and simple without it.
Finished my (first) playthrough
Game is legitimately great, in partuclar Blood Code system is fucking genius
taking a year of additional development payed off big fucking time
I'm definitely doing another playthrough with STR build memery and 100% exploration once i take a break and get some FETH action again
hell i'll probably alternate between the two

All those, and they couldn't afford to let us mix & match outfit parts? Or even just give us a few more options in the clothing range?
Got the game, immediately made Shinjuku Salter, been having a ton of fun beating up on bosses with YUGE def & attack. But yeah, I could've done with a T-shirt instead of strappy abominations and that one pair of trousers so puffed out the Michelin Man gets a hardon.
