B sounds more logical, yeah, and Sakura is less likely to object if Taiga hired her.
She should make a special effort to be nice to Sakura, though, to show she's not trying to "take over" or anything.

I don't think it's late enough for her to have arrived. assuming she isn't still actually at the school, which is my guess, she is probably on her way.
