SINoALICE - Yoko Taro's next work

I'm interested in it because of Yoko Taro. Seems like it can be a compelling story of sorts... not that I can read Japanese. I'm just gonna go off voice to understand the story.

SINOALICE is a mobile game project developed by PokeLab, Directed by Yoko Taro, Music Directed by Keiichi Okabe, and published by Square Enix.


The game sets on the Library world where all the fairy tales (such as Alice, Cinderella, etc.) books gathered. Characters on each fairy tales will fight each other until there’s one left in order to resurrect their own authors. There’re parts when you must jump from one story tale into another story tale to fight.

The game’s battles are in real time, and while characters collaborate to defeat the enemies, at times they’ll need to betray and fight each other. An auto mode is included, and can be turned off at any time.



The player can play the story of a favorite character, but it will intertwine with the stories of others, as relationships become apparent.

There are more than 150 different weapons in the game, each with its own story, that gets gradually unveiled as they’re leveled up.



SINoALICE also includes a job system, and each job also comes with a story, which reveal a secret inner side of each character.

So far, I'm enjoying the music. I know that it's a dark fantasy game and that I shouldn't expect anything light and fluffy because it'll never give it to me. I love it. Though I guess it's to be expected of a Yoko Taro game.

It actually says Ibarahime, though? There's no typo? And Ibarahime is Sleeping Beauty, Briar Rose and all those magic thorns and whatnot.

Oh boy, another really good looking mobile game. I'm guessing it won't ever be released with any english support so my wallet is safe. I love the art though. The weapons with stories thing reminds me of the stuff in Darkengard and Nier too. The combat systems also interest me. What the heck do they mean by having the characters betray eachother mid fight? It better be something more interesting than a standard confusion debuff lol.

I don't know. It's Square Enix after all. Heck, they released English Mobius FF last year. Why can't/wouldn't they do it to SINoALICE? Especially since it's Yoko Taro's work. I'm sure there's a lot of people who'll enjoy it for the story.

Probably story-driven. There's no concrete evidence yet but I'm assuming that there's some catch in reviving "Author"-san. Maybe only one person can revive their "Author" at a time or each character has a certain objective to achieve to be able to revive their "Author". Mindless guessing at this point but we'll see as it's soon to be released.
