I'm in the same position as chem is. All of these people are senior to me... it makes me wish I had a fishing rod with which to swiftly remove my hat from the ring.

    Servant Saber:

    Appearance:

    Source is here

    True Name: Pedro de Alvarado

    Alignment: Chaotic Evil

    Alternate Classes: Lancer, Rider, Berserker

    Strength- B
    Agility- B
    Endurance- C+
    Mana- C
    Luck- A
    NP- A+

    Personality
On the face of it, Saber is the very picture of an intrepid Spanish knight. Chivalrous, charismatic, boisterous and with an unquenchable thirst for adventure. His frank yet dazzling manners and friendly disposition can easily endear Saber even to his erstwhile enemies. However, tear aside that showy exterior and you will find the hardened heart of a man willing to go to even the most brutal lengths to accomplish his goals.

Cheerful and easygoing to his friends, yet Saber becomes terrifyingly cold and ruthless in dealing with enemies who stand in the way of his glory. Slavery, massacre, rape and torture; so long as the suitable result is achieved then all means- no matter how atrocious- are acceptable in Saber's eyes.

While Saber acts as the model of chivalry to his opponents, once sufficiently threatened he will cast aside that role entirely and reveal his true self. He is incredibly arrogant and constantly berates his (non-Spanish) foes in battle, treating them as subhuman savages that stand absolutely no chance of besting a "civilized" warrior such as himself. That said, even he does have a degree of true honor and would be delighted to match blades with fellow heroes of Spain, such as El Cid or even Cortes himself.

Although he committed horrible atrocities in life, Saber still does not acknowledge that his actions were wrong in the slightest. Even in the modern era, he continues to maintain himself as a righteous hero who brought civilization to the New World- totally disregarding the mountains of corpses piled up in his wake. Those who survive are heroes whose glory shall be passed on forevermore, while those who die are merely stepping stones in the path to future glory. That is Saber's guiding philosophy.

Incidentally, Saber is also something of a hedonist and upon summoning will greatly appreciate the chance to shower himself in the "treasures" of the modern world. Between scouting and fighting enemy Servants, he can often be found snacking on expensive food or trying on extravagent clothing and jewelry at stores. Unless his Master possesses the budget to accomodate Saber's ostentatious habits, they'd best find some way to rein him in or else watch their bank account be drained dry.

Befitting his bottomless lust for adventure, Saber's wish on the Holy Grail would be to bring forth a renewed world-wide Age of Discovery- one where Saber and other like-minded souls can endlessly explore, conquer and pillage ever greater and more exotic lands. As an egotist who cares only for himself, Saber would gladly turn the entire world into an environment of savage splendor that ordinary humans stand no hope of surviving in, if only so long as he'd be granted the chance to explore such a world.

    Likes: fame, glory, adventure
    Dislikes: boredom, moralists, "uncivilized brutes"
    Talents: long-jumping, showmanship
Natural Enemy: Tecun Uman, El Draque, Quetzalcoatl

    Class Skills:

    Magic Resistance- A+
Power to neutralize the effects of Magecraft aimed against oneself. At this level, all spells below A-rank are nullified, making the Servant virtually untouchable to modern Magi. With this level of defense against sorcery, it would scarcely be an exaggeration to term the Servant a "Magus Killer".

Hailing from well past the Age of Gods, Saber would normally sport only a D or, at most, C ranking in this Skill. However, reflecting the legend of him having been divinely blessed by the Virgin Mary to overcome the magic of the great sorceror chieftain Tecun Uman, Saber's resistance has been vastly increased to that of an A-rank.

A plus correction is applied against spells originating from the Mesoamerican region, further amplifying Saber's already immense resistance.

    Riding- A
Ability to ride animals. At this rank, all beasts of burden can be utilized at a high degree of skill, but not those of the Phantasmal or Divine species. A fitting talent for a legendary Conquistador, as Saber's most famous battle was carried out on horseback he possesses this Skill at A-rank.

    Personal Skills:

    Conquistador- B
The Skill of one who had conquered the unchartered lands at the end of their voyages during the Age of Exploration. In Spanish, it means "conqueror". Denotes the ability of invading, ruling, pillaging, and enslaving an undiscovered land. Grants Saber a rank-up to all parameters while in enemy territory. As such conquests were largely driven by a desire to plunder the wealth of foreign civilizations, this bonus also applies against opponents with the "Golden Rule" Skill. Being one of the first to lead efforts in colonizing the New World alongside the likes of Cortes and Pizarro, Saber naturally wields a high rank in this Skill.

    Mana Burst (Flames)- D+
Indicates an increase in performance through infusing one's weapons or body with magical energy and immediately expelling it. Simply put, recreating the effects of a jet-burst through expending vast amounts of magical energy. In Saber's case, magical energy unleashed through this Skill takes on an effect reminiscent of blazing flames. However, as this Skill's rank is rather low it produces only a weak yet dazzling conflagration, more suitable for showmanship than truly effective in combat.

Fascinated by his fiery red hair and pale skin, native Aztecs referred to Saber as a human avatar of their sun god Tonatiuh. While in truth he hasn't even a drop of godly blood in his ancestry, that association with a Divine Spirit of the sun has allowed Saber to call upon a pale imitation of its celestial fire as his own.

In line with the Aztec belief that the sun was nourished by human sacrifice, Saber can also strengthen the flames produced by this Skill by offering them some of his own blood. Upon doing so, the resulting blaze is greatly stoked and the effective performance of this Skill rises to B-rank. Of course, since these flames are rather hungry Saber must be careful not to offer too much of his blood at once, lest they grow to consume his spiritual core entirely.

    Sadistic Constitution- C
A Skill that augments one's aggression in battle, raising attack power at the cost of sealing defensive abilities. While appearing to be a favorable Skill, the Servant's abusive disposition grows as battle rages on, abandoning their usual composure. This can be seen as only a step short of the Skill driving Berserkers to sink into madness.

Although renowned for his skill as a soldier, Saber is remembered more for his immense cruelty against the native Aztecs- cutting a bloody swath of slavery, massacres and brutality across the New World. Even amidst the heartless rapacity of his fellow Conquistadors, Saber's sheer greed and bloodthirst stood head and shoulders above all.

    Disengage- B-
The ability to break away from battle and return to allied territory after an engagement. At this rank, Saber can usually retreat from combat with little chance of failing. Also has the effect of returning an unfavorable battle to the "first turn", along with the status of all combatants. However, as a tactical mind is needed to reap the full benefits of this Skill, it loses effectiveness the more Saber succumbs to the effects of his Sadistic Constitution.

After Saber's wholesale massacre of the Aztec nobles, rebellion spread like wildfire across the capital city of Tenochtitlán- forcing Saber and his men into swift retreat. First they attempted to sneak quietly out of the city under cover of darkness, but were discovered by the Aztecs.
Fierce fighting erupted and Saber, who led the rear-guard action, narrowly escaped through a spectacular leap across a canal that became known as the "
    Alvarado's Leap
    Salto de Alvarado
    ".

    Noble Phantasms
    Espada Virgen Santa
    Blessing Of The Holy Maiden
    (B, Anti-Team)
In battle against the legendary Mayan chieftain Tecun Uman, it was alleged that Saber triumphed thanks to divine blessing from a powerful maiden commonly associated with the Virgin Mary, sparing him from the sorceries cast by his foe. That legend has been materialized into a long sword Saber carries, inscribed with a relief image of the Virgin Mary and seeming to radiate a gentle divine light.

Passively, it grants Saber a nigh-impregnable defense against Magecraft through raising his Magic Resistance rank to A. By invoking the True Name and plunging the sword's tip into the ground, a Bounded Field enforcing the authority of the Virgin Mary can be erected across the battlefield. The effects of this Bounded Field are twofold. Firstly, a powerful spiritual pressure is brought down upon anyone harboring hostile intentions against Saber. Those without a resistance to mental interference at rank B or higher must pass a Luck check at this point or else be instantly forced to their knees. Secondly, familiars resembling mankind's stereotypical depiction of angels will begin manifesting in the Bounded Field to defend Saber, attacking his enemies with a viciousness belying their delicate appearances.

This Noble Phantasm originally took the form of a spear, reflecting the weapon Saber wielded in his battle with Tecun Uman, but it has been distorted into a sword to accommodate his Class Container.

    Ōllin Tōnatiuh
The Setting Sun Crowns My Glory
    (A+, Anti-Army, Anti-Mystery)
A Noble Phantasm crowning Saber's identification with the sun god Tonatiuh, as well as his destruction by fire of Aztec holy temples and other sacred sites. Invoking its True Name, Saber brandishes his holy sword aloft above his head. Tendrils of solar fire begin to gather at the point of Saber's blade, forming a massive sphere of pure burning light reminiscent of a second sun that illuminates the battlefield for several miles.

Saber then finishes his attack by slashing downwards with his sword, flinging the engorged ball of flames at his opponents like a celestial wrecking ball. The orb transforms as it flies through the air, evoking the imagery of a giant flaming eagle swooping down on the battleground. This eagle, a sacred animal of the sun in Aztec myth, then lets loose a piercing cry before ramming into the ground and exploding in a vast conflagration- with enough destructive force to reduce an entire battlefield to ash.

In addition to sheer destructive power rivaling some of the strongest Noble Phantasms such as Balmung and Galatine, this attack also alludes to the Aztec belief that the sun heralded the passing of ages. In Aztec mythology, Tonatiuh was in fact the fifth sun to take its place overlooking creation, after the fourth sun was expelled from the sky. Each sun was a deity with its own cosmic era, and Tonatiuh was merely the god reigning over the present age of mankind.

Syncretized with Saber's own role as one who figuratively "set the sun" upon the New World by bringing forth an age of discovery, this Noble Phantasm embodies the concept of "superseding eras". As such, it holds a great conceptual advantage against legends and Heroic Spirits tied to an age preceding Saber's own. On the other hand, its power is much weakened against Heroic Spirits that originated from an era after Saber, making this attribute a double-edged sword of sorts.

An ersatz divine authority borrowed from the sun god's feat of enlightening the world. However, as Saber is merely a mortal he naturally cannot tap into the true power of a divine miracle. As such this Noble Phantasm's power is a mere imperfect recreation of what Tonatiuh himself would wield- yet more than enough to vanquish most foes.

Much like his regular Mana Burst (Flames) Skill, Saber can further amplify the destructive power of this Noble Phantasm by sacrificing some of his blood to fuel it. Although, the amount of blood required to make a noticeable difference would risk leaving Saber unconscious from anemia.

If summoned as Rider he'd have...
    Centauro Fantasma
    Man And Beast As One
    (C, Anti-Mind)
The Mesoamerican forces which Pedro fought against had no concept of horses or other beasts of burden, so his mounted forces appeared to them as none other than a horde of monstrous centaurs. When the warrior-chieftain Tecun Uman managed to slay Pedro's steed in battle, he briefly let down his guard- believing Pedro himself to have fallen with it. That moment was all Pedro needed, rising back to his feet and dealing Tecun a mortal wound with his spear.

While atop his horse, an illusion enshrouds Pedro's body- warping his image into that of a phantasmal hybrid between man and beast. Because of this, it becomes difficult to target Pedro effectively- as what appear to be lethal blows may in fact only kill his mount while Pedro himself survives unscathed. As centaurs are terrifying creatures from outside the ken of human rationality, identifying himself with such a beast also serves to imbue Pedro with Dread Visage at equivalent rank.

However, this illusion is maintained only so long as Pedro remains on his steed, dissipating instantly if he is knocked off or dismounts. If he is forcibly knocked off, then the secondary effect of this Noble Phantasm unveils itself. Whoever parted Pedro from his steed will be stricken with a "confusion" status ailment, leaving them paralyzed for several turns. This gives Pedro the time to swiftly remount his steed and escape, or, if possible, deliver a deciding counter-attack to his stunned foe. As a form of mental interference, those with Skills guarding against attacks on the mind at rank C or higher will be able to see through Pedro's illusion.

Incidentally, this Noble Phantasm has nothing to do with the particular warhorse Pedro favors, as its effects can be conveyed equally well by any equine steed.

So, this is the sheet I've been working on for the last few days. At first I envisioned this guy as a Rider or Lancer, but after the contest started I changed plans to fit him into the Saber Class (and came up with a cool sun-based NP in the process, I might add). Put a fair deal of effort into this guy so I hope y'all enjoy the sheet (even if it doesn't win)! As always, comments and criticisms are welcome.

Wow, this contest got a bigger reaction than I thought it would, but that's great!

Liking everyone's sheets so far, but if you haven't gotten one in yet, don't worry! Still plenty of time.

"(Uhhhh, OK... be confident. You can do this...) Ahem. Art thou my Master? I shalt bring thee victory, forsooth! I mean. Um. I am your Servant. It's a pleasure to meet you."

    Alignment: Neutral Good

    STR: C
    END: B
    AGI: B
    MAG: D
    LUCK: E
    NP: A

    Class Skills

    Magic Resistance (C):
Grants protection against magical effects. Differing from the Resistance effect that merely rejects Magical Energy, this ability cancels the spells altogether. Cancel spells with a chant below two verses. Cannot defend against magecraft on the level of High-Thaumaturgy and Greater Rituals. As Saber himself has a negligible resistance to magic, the effectiveness of this Skill is pathetically low, even by the normal standards of the Saber class. However, his Noble Phantasm, when activated, provides a massive boost to his Magic Resistance.

Riding (C): A Class Skill of Rider and Saber class Servants, denoting the ability to ride mounts and vehicles. Rider-class Servants will typically possess a high rank. It is said that dragon type mounts are an exception, requiring a different ability other than Riding. Most vehicles and animals can be handled with above average skill. However, he cannot ride the likes of Phantasmal Species such as Monstrous Beasts. Because he does not have an anecdote of riding anything special or worth mentioning, he receives a low rank in this Skill for a Saber.

    Personal Skills

Analysis (A+): The ability to observe and analyse weapons. At this rank, it essentially becomes akin to casting a Scan spell from an RPG on the weapon in question. Name, abilities, and any potential flaws and weakpoints become revealed with a quick, but focused study (though Saber claims he needs but one glance, this is not true). Obviously a priceless ability when facing enemy Servants, and a useful tool for uncovering their identity. Saber specializes in identifying swords, especially Japanese swords, and needs longer to analyse weapon types he is less familiar with, though more renowned weapons such as Durandal or Gae Bolg are exceptions.

Guardian of the Threshold (B): A skill for defensive fighting. During defensive battles, parameters receive a rank-up. Differing from the Pride of the Rearguards, which scales with the situation, this skill gives a flat boost no matter the situation. As such it is more suited to one-on-one duels than fighting an army by oneself. Saber can only activate his second Noble Phantasm if this skill is in effect.

Charming Youth (B): The disposition as a pretty boy who charms people. A fascination magic-like effect that works on both men and women, but one can abate it so long there is a will to resist. Complete evasion by means of a Magic Resistance Skill is possible. Alongside his natural good looks, Saber’s sincere but childish and clumsy personality acts as a further charm point. Because he is seemingly unaware of the effects he has on others, this skill is mostly activated subconsciously.

    Noble Phantasms
    Fudo Yukimitsu
    Benevolence of Acala

Anti-Unit, A: The treasured sword of Oda Nobunaga, which she gifted to her page as part of a trial. Nobunaga held a contest with her pages for Fudo Yukimitsu by challenging them to guess the precise number of indentions on the blade's scabbard. Out of all the pages, Ranmaru was the one who guessed correctly based on his sharp observations, and was gifted with the sword as a result. With an image of Acala carved into the blade and carrying his name, by clasping the handle tightly, aiming the blade at the earth, and by invoking him, the blade become an echo of Acala’s blade, charged with karura’s fire and Vajra’s lightning. Ranmaru then unleashes a flurry of sword strikes that is “guaranteed to send you to Nirvana”. So he says.

    Honnoji no Mon
As the Petals of the Burning Orchid Fall

    Barrier, B:
The act which committed Ranmaru Mori to the pages of history, the burning of the Honnou Temple and the protection of the room where his master prepared to take her life, even as the temple collapsed around them. It represents Ranmaru’s desire to protect those he serves no matter the cost, and his defiance in the face of certain death. Striking a defensive pose, the invocation of this Noble Phantasm calls forth a barrier surrounding the person or object he wishes to protect, at the entrance to which stands Ranmaru, wreathed in fire. The only way through the barrier is to slay Ranmaru, but as he is fully prepared to die for his cause, his parameters rise, if only briefly, to absurd levels. Such force will cause him to burn away to nothing after the battle is complete, but he doesn’t care so long as his protectee is safe.

    Lore
    Likes: Her Ladyship
    Dislikes: Traitors
    Talents: Making tea, making sweets
    Natural Enemy: Akechi Mitsuhide

True Name: Mori Ranmaru (森 蘭丸)

"My name's not actually Ranmaru, though..."

Oda Nobunaga’s head page and bodyguard famed for his close (and in some stories, romantic) relationship with his mistress, famed for his supposed good looks and for dying with Nobunaga during the Honnoji incident as a display of loyalty, but not before burning the temple down so her body could never be claimed. Also famed for his youth, when he died he was 19 years old.

"Ah, but! My relationship with Lady Nobunaga wasn't like that! W-why are you looking at me like that? I'm not lying!"

His deepest wish is to become someone that his master can rely upon no matter the circumstances. All he has is dedicated to become the perfect servant, to be his master’s sword and shield. As a side-effect, however, he is somewhat fussy, since he believes that if any aspect of his master’s appearance is less than perfect, he has failed. He has become something of a nag as a result. His true personality, though, is reflective of his true age; he is needy, desperately craves praise, and is somewhat selfish. He has a habit of unconsciously letting his inner self slip out as he works, like singing silly songs, or falling asleep on a newly-made bed. In animal metaphors, though he acts like a stern and loyal hound, he is actually a tame housecat.

If, in the circumstances, he ends up fighting on the same side as Nobunaga, he will be excited beyond words, though he’ll try not to show it. On the other hand, she would be a difficult opponent for him to fight against. Though he’d profess undying obedience, to fight against the person he once cared about more than anything in the world would cause him such stress that it could possibly physically distort his Saint Graph.

Ranmaru, huh? I'd contemplated writing him up before (as Archer, natch) but never got any good enough NP ideas, so it's certainly nice to see your take. Personality is well fleshed-out and positively adorable, so kudos to that. I do feel you could've included some kind of 'vigilance' Skill based on how he was the first to notice Mitsuhide's deceptions (trying and failing to warn Nobu on numerous occasions), though...

I was almost scared for a moment thinking that someone decided to do the same servant as me when I saw the image pic, then I read the opening sentence and "Yup, totally different."

"Didn't I tell you? I am not a knight. Not a knight at all".
    Source: Ogma (Fire Emblem)

    Class: Saber
    Other Classes: Possibly Caster
True Name: Uther Pendragon, King Chosen by the Comet.
    Alignment: Chaotic Good
    Place of Origin: Britain

    Parameters:

    STR: A
    END: B
    AGI: B
    MGI: B
    LCK: D
    NP: A+

    Height: 191 cm
    Weight: 89 kg
    Likes: Fighting, Attractive Women, Kingship
Dislikes: Invaders, Magic-users, Legend of King Arthur
    Talent: Fighting
Natural Enemy: Lovely young woman with no mean bone in her body (Igraine)
    Attribute: Earth
Traits: King, Brynhildr’s Beloved, Weak to Enuma Elish
    Armament: Hand-and-a-half ornamented sword.
Catalyst: Anything related to pre-Arthurian Camelot (compatibility with Master might be required)

    Class Skills:

Magic Resistance (B). Cancels spells with a chant with three verses or below. It’s hard to harm this Servant even with High-Thaumaturgy and Grand Rituals.

Riding (B). Most vehicles and animals can be handled with above average skill. This does not apply to the creatures on level of Phantasmal Beasts.

    Personal Skills:

Eye of the Mind (True) (B). Heightened capacity for observation, refined through training, discipline and practice. Not result of talent, but something born out of vast combat experience.
While Uther didn’t possess any inborn special abilities, he bravely led armies of Camelot against human invaders and supernatural monstrosities alike. This Skill represents his capacity to fight as seasoned warrior, who faced and bested many enemies in life.

Charisma (C). Natural talent to command and lead an army. Increases ability of one’s allies during mass combat. Suitable for a General at this level.
Originally Uther Pendragon wasn’t someone who could rule a country, but rather a man leading soldiers into a combat. This changed only after one fateful night...

    Illusionism (B).
Proficiency with the art of conjuring magical illusions, a branch of magecraft used to beuilement. Both mental interference and projection of ephemeral visions into material world fall under this Skill.
Uther claims that he learned this ability by observing and imitating famed Merlin. Due to grudge held against the magus and his growing distrust towards magecraft in general, he is hesitant to make full use of it.

    Battle Continuation (A).
Exceptionally strong willpower, which allows to continue fight even after sustaining mortal wounds.
It is said that during the battle of Verulamium, Uther led his armies while being gravely ill, earning the moniker of “Half-Dead King” from the Saxons. However, even in that state he managed to deliver a crushing defeat to them, and died only because of poisonous water he drank after the fighting was over.

    Mad Enhancement (E~A)
Not a gift of the Grail, nor innate ability of Uther Pendragon, but something that appeared out of unusual circumstances. As a Heroic Spirit, he naturally knows the fate of his son and the fall of Camelot, and, when summoned as a Servant and gets ability to understand this as a human, it becomes source of severe psychological trauma, almost shattering Uther's psyche. While he is able to seemingly recover rather quickly, this event sows seeds of madness and hatred in his heart.
In normal circumstances, Uther is not aware of this Skill, it cannot be registered with Master’s vision or special abilities of Ruler class, and it might remain unused for the whole duration of the War. However if Saber would happen to face someone whom he believes responsible for the tragedy of Camelot, he will be consumed by murderous rage and attack, while all his Parameters would be incresed proportionally to how strong his enmity is.
Against Guinevere, Lancelot and Merlin Uhter receives highest boost, gets moderate enhancement against Arthur (regardless of incarnation), Gawain or rebellious knights, and meager bonus when fighting loyal Knights of Round Table (in his eyes, they’re still guilty of not preventing the tragedy). Needless to say, Uther must realize whom exactly he faces to go berserk (i.e. have knowledge of their True Name), and enhancement would be activated only once against each of people he hates, regardless of outcome.
Interestingly enough, Mordred Pendragon cannot trigger his madness, probably because Uther believes that at the point of the rebellion the destruction of Camelot was already unavoidable.

    Noble Phantasm(s):

    Gorlassar: Radiant Sword of Supremacy
    Rank: B
    Type: Anti-unit
    Range: 1-2
    Max Targets: 1
“Great sword of protection” mentioned in “The Death-song of Uther Pen”, a text appearing in the Book of Taliesin. It name means “above the blue (sky)”, denoting its nature as a sword which can be used only by someone who acknowledged as “the strongest” across the land. Uther himself was called “Gorlassar” by the people due to his martial prowess and it was only natural that he became master of this weapon.
Upon release activation of this Noble Phantasm, physical attributes of wielder are boosted by 1 rank, while the blade itself starts to emit destructive radiance, dealing additional damage to the opponents.
Later this sword would change its nature to “royal sword” when Uther witnessed the Comet and was transformed into a king, and would be known as Clarent: Brilliant and Radiant Sword to future generations. It’s summoned as Gorlassar probably because Uther feels it is more appropriate for the War.

Banner of Pendragon: Sign of the Dragon Comet
    Rank: A+
    Type: Anti-Army
    Range: 1-60
    Max Targets: 550
Uther’s personal standard, hosting the essence of Red Dragon of Britons, which would later be transferred to his progeny. Passively it increases the wielder’s Charisma and Magical Resistance by 1 rank, signifying his transformation from a chief warrior to a king. It can also serve as a magical energy furnace, granting Uther some semblance of Independent Action.
Upon activation the Dragon is released a fiery ethereal silhouette which flies from the banner into the skies and then comes crashing down on the intended target, showering it with flame during the descent. This Noble Phantasm can easily burn hundreds of people into ashes in the matter of seconds.
It is said, that on the night Aurelius Ambrosius died, the dragon-shaped comet appeared in the sky, and after seeing it Uher received title Pendragon, and decided to use mark his banners with symbol of the Dragon.

Hud o’ Wthyr Bendragon: 2nd Great Enchantment of the Island of Britain.
    Type: B
    Rank: Anti-Unit (Self)
    Range: 0
    Max Targets: 1
One of the Three Great Enchantments of the Island of Britain, recorded in the Welsh Triads. It was created by Uther based on the knowledge given to him by Merlin, and was later passed to Menw, the Enchanted Knight of King Arthur’s court.
Nominally this is a spell that belongs to the illusionism branch of magecraft, but it is classified as Noble Phantasm due to its power and potency. Using it Uther can weave supreme illusion, verging on the level of True Magic, which tricks all perceptional abilities completely, even a sixth sense, Clairvoyance, precognition, magecraft-detecting, ability to feel presence of enemy Servant abilities even the senses of the Planet itself.
This Noble Phantasm can only be used on Uther himself. Additionally, he cannot use his other Noble Phantasm when enchanted, and if he chooses to masquerade as a regular human he also can’t demonstrate Servant-level of strength.

    Lore:
King Uther, Chief-Dragon of Camelot, Chosen by the Comet. Father of famous King Arthur. While his story is overshadowed by the fame of his son, he can still be seen prominent legendary figure, an ancestor-king, who laid foundation for the future greatness of Camelot.
Originally, he was third and youngest son of Custennin the Blessed, one of the most powerful rulers of post-Roman Britain.
After his father died in combat, his eldest son, Custennin the Younger, was supposed to inherit his position, however he was poisoned by Vortigern, who served as Custennin’s advisor and might have been king’s illegitimate son. The traitor installed himself as a ruler, and since Uther and his brother Aurelius Ambrosius were too young to oppose him, they were forced to seek in refuge in Brittany. There they spend ten years growing in preparations to return to Britain one day, avenge their brother and take the realm back from the usurper.
The opportunity came to pass when Vortigern invited Hengist and Horsa, two powerful Saxon leaders, in his country under excuse of assisting him in fight against the Picts and the Scots. In reality, self-proclaimed King of the Britons, understood that people still see him as usurper, and wanted to use Saxons as his personal guard. It worked for a time being, but eventually the mercenaries turned against the tyrant, wanting to seize power to themselves.
The war broke out, but no side could gain an upper hand, until the infamous Treachery of Long Knives, where Hengist pretending to want to make peace with Vortigern, invited him and his allies to the feast, during which most of guests, including Vortigern’s sons, were slaughtered. The usurper somehow escaped, but his spirit was broken. Unable to continue fighting, he abandoned his people and fled into Wales, hiding inside well-fortified castle.
Hearing the news about all of this, the brothers decided that their time has come, and returned to the Britain with their armies. As their first move, they besieged the castle where Vortigern took refuge, and burned it to the ground (they believed that he died in flames, but unbeknownst to them he survived and later threatened Camelot once again). After this event Ambrosius was acknowledged as rightful king of Britain, and united the people with Uther acting like his most trusted general.
Soon after people began to flow to their side in large numbers. It was when Uther met the powerful magus Merlin for the first time. They quickly became good friends, and had many adventures together. Once, during the armistice they visited Ireland, where Uther helped the magus to stole megaliths of Stonehenge from local druids and move them to Britain.
Eventually the invaders were driven off the island for a time being, but the victory came with a sharp price. Many people met unfortunate end during the war, including Aurelius Ambrosius. He was murdered by an assassin on the night before last great battle of this war, when Briton forces lead by Uther faced Paschent, last son of Vortigern, who defected to the Saxon side. It is said that bright dragon-shaped comet flew across the skies that night, which was intrepreted by Merlin as a sing of Uther’s future greatness. After this he became known as Pendragon and had Red Dragon painted on his standards. The king himself claims what he received mystical vision of the Dragon himself declaring him “acceptable” and granting portion of his power.
Uther was victorious what day, succeded his brother and soon ended the war, but his kingdom laid in ruins and the peace itself was fragile and unstable. As soon as the threat of invasion disappeared, many of his so-called vassals started to plan rebellion, believing that the king is no longer necessary. The most powerful of them was Gorlois, duke of Cornwall, who had a beautiful wife named Igraine, with whom Uther felt madly in love with. When Uther got wind of his intentions, he decided to kill two birds with one stone.
Consulting with Merlin, Uther, who already got some basic grip on magecraft from his friend, devised a spell which allowed him to infiltrate Gorlois castle, while the duke himself was absent. In the guise of Gorlois, Uther gathered all necessary information about enemy forces and made a hash of their plans, giving multiple contradictory and tactically unsound orders, which allowed his forces to easily crush army of rebellious duke.
It is said that King Arthur was sired that day, but according to Uther it only happened afterwards, because Igraine somehow managed to see through his guise, and refused to cheat on her husband, even if she reciprocated Uther’s feelings. He claims that after that incident he join the battle and killed Gorlois personally in order free Igraine from marital vows. He married her the day after, and soon Arthur was born.
That day Merlin approached Uther and asked him to give the newborn to him as sign of gratitude for his help. Uther was reluctant to go through with his request, but the magus claimed that if he does so his son would become the greatest king of Britain ever knew one day. His words convinced the king and he allowed Merlin to take the child.
Afterwards he had few years of peaceful life, but then the Saxons returned, forcing him to take arms again. After several years of fighting, he managed to defeat Hengist’s son Aesk (or Octa) at the battle of Verulamium, but died soon after by drinking water out of poisonous well.

    Personality:
    Alignment: Chaotic Good.
While his progeny would eventually become the King of Knights, embodying the very concept of chivalrous king, Uther himself is not somebody who subscribes these ideals, and would not hesitate to point that out what he is not a knight.
And, indeed, his sense of honor is different, and he follows much simpler warrior ethos. Naturally bellicose, Uther takes delight in fighting, never backs down from the challenge and relishes the chance to battle someone strong. In combat, he doesn’t restrict himself, always going all-out and feeling true satisfaction only from complete obliteration of enemy, and not above using “unconventional” means to achieve victory. Despite this, he is rather a good sport and would graciously accept defeat even if the fight wasn’t fair, unless something else is at stake.
He sees kingship mostly as duty to the people. From Uther’s perspective, king is someone “who should take actions and bear responsibility for them”. Fulfilling these two obligations are an essence of being rule, and everything else, even the morality and ideals, are ultimately supplemental and minor qualities. It should be noted that Uther is rather critical of his own reign, saying things like: “in perfect world I would’ve remained a warrior”, but still believes that being king is more important, since fighting is just a talent that he was born with (and thus he can squander it), while the crown is something that entrusted to him.
Due to mental trauma, he receives when it becomes possible to ascertain the future of his realm emotionally (which cannot happen in timeless void inside the Throne of Heroes), his relationship with Master would probably be rather complicated. While originally Uther held neutral view on magecraft, seeing it as just a tool, and even dabbled in it himself, after finding Merlin guilty of manipluating and lying to him, he comes to conclusion that ill fame of the magi is completely justified. As a result, when summoned by a proper magus Saber would treat him with suspicion and contempt, if not thinly-veiled hostility, and if he or she happens to be practitioner of dark magic (curses, witchcraft, necromancy etc.) he might even kill the summoner on spot. Thus, the most suitable Master for him would be someone who lacks education as a magus and became participant of Grail War by accident.
    Relationships:
While Uther Pendragon was with many women during his life, he only truly felt love to Igraine, and even after he is summoned as a Servant, she occupies special place in his heart.
As a child Uther used to idolize is older brother Aurelius, and traces of this remain within him even as a Servant. Basically, he believes that his brother was much better man than he is, and that if he was alive all future tragedies could’ve been avoided.
He bears strong grudged against Merlin. Uther thinks that” treacherous magus” used Camelot as sacrifice to become immortal (isolate himself from time steam) and all his actions from the day they’ve met served only this purpose. In similar vein, he absolutely despises Guinevere and Lancelot, seeing them respectively as immoral vixen and spineless coward, who couldn’t even must enough courage and fight for his love.
His feeling towards Arthur are more complicated: while Uther acknowledges him as a superior king overall, he can’t forgive him for leading the country to downfall by allowing his wife to cheat on him. At the same time, he also feels guilty about falling for “lies of the magus” and giving him to Merlin. It should be noted, that he has no idea about Artoria’s true gender, only seeing her once as newborn baby covered by the shroud.
He sees Saxon heroes as his enemies, but doesn't really hate them. He would be rather happy to meet Hengits, his sons, or Horsa as enemies in Grail War, just because it’s a chance to beat them one more time. Same thing could be said about Vortigern.

    Creator Notes:
My take on King Arthur’s father. Might contradict some of the canonical information, but I tried to tie all the loose ends. This version is based mostly on Geoffrey's Historia Regum Britanniae with some information coming from Welsh sources.
The hardest thing was probably coming up with idea for his sword: I’ve seen anything besides one rather flimsy source tying him up with Clarent, so it was necessary to improvise. Gorlassar (“above the blue”, “superior one”) was another name or epithet of Uther mentioned in the Book of Taliesin the Bard, and in the same song some other nameless sword mentioned as his gift towards some warchief.
Him being a magus is based on theory that in hypothetical “original” tale of Uther and Igraine, the former used his own magical powers to impersonate her husband. That hypothesis is based on the fact, that Uther is named as someone who created 2nd Great Enchantment of Britain and taught it to Menw, son of Teirgwaedd, who appears as shapeshifter and illusionist in Culhwch and Olwen. I think he has natural aptitude for magecraft, but never bothered to study it seriously, because it felt much better to fell down opponents with his physical strength. His success with Hud o’ Wthyr Bendragon probably came out of blue for Merlin and he probably was very cautious about sharing magical secrets with him.
I think he could be a great antagonist (of “can be befriended later if you survive first meeting” type) against most prominent characters of Arthurian legend, sans possibly Galahad.

Catalyst: Genuine Edristen family crest, Marriage papers of Abel and Mechtilde

    Class Skills:

    Abel:

    Magic Resistance: C+

Resists magic below C rank. Abel’s resistance increases against witchcraft, as he knows what women like his wife are capable of.

    Riding: B

Can ride any ordinary vehicle or mount with considerable skill, but cannot ride Phantasmal Species or Divine Beasts.

    Mechtilde:

    Territory Creation: D++

Creation of a “Witch’s Abode” becomes possible, but any other sort of domain is out of the question for Mechtilda.

    Item Creation: C

Items such as false contracts and letters, as well as other legal documents are Mechtilda’s forte, but if forced to, she can create minor magical items that can be a boon for her Master or Abel, provided she has the relevant materials.

    Personal Skills:

    Combination:
    C

No matter the intensity of the battle they participate in, Abel and Mechtilde can convey the best course of action to each other with a single glance.

    Abel:

    Original Sin (False): A+

A skill conveying how much one has inherited the murderous and ruthless disposition of one’s distant ancestor, Cain, who committed the first murder. Cursed with this from birth, Abel, who was named such by his father to try to combat the curse and make others look away from his hostile actions, has occasional urges to commit seemingly random acts of depravity, and receives massive boosts in his abilities when he is allowed to act on them.

Charisma of an Evil Genius: B

The ability to persuade and lead those who are as wicked as the owner of the skill. Even decent men and women can be persuaded to join Abel so long as they have even a shred of evil of selfish intentions in their hearts. On the other hand, moral or principled folk find Abel despicable on sight and will avoid him at all costs. While able to easily take over Denmark after the death of Erik Plovpenning, he had to imprison the old king’s entire cabinet of trustees during his reign, as they would not swear fealty.

    Supporting Witchcraft: A+

Having been made a vessel of Mechtilde’s witchcraft to stand up to greater kings and warriors than himself, Abel is covered in dozens of curses that will assist him even when she is not present. These include, but are not limited to: Automated magic blast defenses to cover weak points in his stance, the increase of his physical abilities and limited manipulation of fate in his favor, the release of disorienting miasma through his breath that weaken his foes, a limited version of Prana Burst that allows Abel’s magical energy to be unleashed as bolts of shadowy lightning through Mechtilde’s aid, and a once-only ace-in-the-hole teleport spell that will automatically activate when Abel is about to be fatally wounded that transports him to Mechtilde’s Witch Abode.

However, all the curses laced over him also makes Abel easy to control by his vicious and manipulative wife, and so, the more he utilizes this, the more he unknowingly falls into her hands.

    Mechtilde:

    Deal with the Devil: A

Having sold her soul at a tender young age to great demons, Mechtilde is steeped in black magic so thoroughly that it is palpable even to an average person’s eye. Due this skill, her magic increases greatly in effectiveness, but her evil nature is instinctively noticeable to all those around her, and animals will flee from her. The strength of holy weapons and sacraments also increase greatly on her. Extremely unpopular among the common folk and nicknamed the “Daughter of the Devil”, Mechtilde has a lifelong rivalry with all things holy, and has been accused of destroying letters from the Pope that might have saved the previous king’s life, had they arrived safely.

    Witchcraft: A+

Signifies one’s skill at the practice of Witchcraft, in Mechtilde’s case, of the Scandinavian variety, which has origin things from sagas such as herring bone reading and bone carving that has been refined and expanded to something akin to the witchcraft heard of in children’s tales. Augury, enhancing curses, death curses delivered through a medium such as the target’s bodily tissue and the summoning of demons and pestilence are all within her grasp, but much of it takes preparation and isn’t very suited for direct combat. She is capable of combat spells, but as a refined noblewoman, she has no sense for how to act in a battle and acts with supreme confidence as in social situations, which could result in her easy defeat by a combat-heavy Servant.

    Alluring Nightingale: C

A mesmerisation skill inherent to those with a naturally beautiful voice, often seen among well spoken royalty or great beauties. A seductive and intense creature by both breeding and practice, Mechtllde has given many unreasonable demands to many a man and had them swear to follow through on their knees.

    Noble Phantasm(s):

    Abel:

    Oath of Fealty and Innocence
    Dobbelte Tylvter-Ed

    Type: Anti-Army
    Rank: C
    Range: N/A
    Max Targets: ∞

A repeat of the oath sworn by 24 knights of the realm when King Erik Plovpenning died during a visit to Abel’s castle that guaranteed the ambitious man’s innocence in the eyes of all who hear it. So long as he can get more than a single person other than Mechtilde to swear on his innocence, the minds of all those who have born witness to or distrust Abel will be rewritten to automatically believe in his complete innocence on the matter, forgetting anything he may have done or why they might have been suspicious of him.

It is impossible to resist upon first being affected, but consecutive attempts to use this Noble Phantasm may arouse suspicion among those affected and break the illusion.

    Mechtilde:

    Oath-Breaker
    Djćvle-Datterens Nye Mand

    Type: Anti-Unit
    Rank: B
    Range: N/A
    Max Targets: 1

A Noble Phantasm with the basis of Mechtilde swiftly casting aside Abel after his death and marrying elsewhere for political gain, an act that shows Mechtilde’s love for Abel as passionate but unfaithful. While she married elsewhere, she loved no man like him, and missed him dearly for the next many years, using her witch arts to occasionally be able to speak to his soul.

At any time where it would be most beneficial to her (usually after Abel’s death), Mechtilde may break her connection to Abel, removing their Combination ability and effectively leaving them as two seperate Servants. After this has been done, Mechtilde may go and find another suitable man, who she will no doubt use both her witchcraft and wiles to woo and gain influence over. As she consumes this relationship physically, the second half of the Noble Phantasm activates, and over the next day, the man (or woman) who had intercourse with Mechtilde will rapidly begin to physically warp and change into a new Abel, with all the abilities and memories of the previous one (with Mechtilde’s abandonment of him conveniently erased from his mind), and their Combination skill restored. There is no way to escape this fate once one has laid with the Daughter of the Devil, for in that, one has sealed his own fate. If the new body Mechtilde procured should somehow have higher physical characteristics than Abel, such as a more powerful Servant who was somehow fooled into her influence, Abel will keep these characteristics until he is once more destroyed.

Should Abel somehow learn of these betrayals by Mechtilde however, bad things might happen to this otherwise fated couple…

    Lore:

A duo of evil personalities that took reign over Denmark for a brief one and a half years in the 1250’s, Abel of Slesvig and Mechtilde of Holstein were a fortunate meeting between an inherently evil man and an inherently evil woman. Marrying in 1237, they bided their time, establishing themselves possible allies like the Archbishop of Cologne, before murdering the king when he was visiting Abel and cursing twenty-four of the king’s knights to declare Abel’s innocence.

While a sharp and skillful ruler, Abel’s rule would go on to be short-lived, as while he was beating down a peasant revolt in Frisia lead by Sicko Sjaerdema, he was attacked by a brave wheelwright named Henner who somehow maneuvered through Abel’s myriad of magical defenses and shoved him off Husum Bridge, where he broke his neck upon landing.

After his death, Mechtilde hid in a convent while biding her time to try and put her son into power, using her influence with the Archbishop of Cologne to have her son released from prison and later acquiring him the Duchy of Sřnderjylland until his death, where her second son instead took over. After securing the happiness of her last remaining son, she broke her oath of convent and officially married once more with the Swedish regent Birger Jarl, but after his death in 1266, she finally moved to Eider after the swedish people drove her out and lived out the rest of her days in hermitage, still clinging to Abel’s memory.

    Personality:

Both are among the worst kind of humans. While Abel can be reasoned with and is on average fairly meritocratic and quiet, his murderous urges and willingness to carry out Mechtilde’s wishes makes him a menace to be about. In public, he is fairly charismatic and well-spoken, but his pale complexion and odd tone of voice makes him uncomfortable to be around, as it clashes with the idea that he is trying to be charismatic and coercing. Essentially, so long as he is not acting upon his Cain-based urges, he feels as if he is not being himself.

Mechtilde, while more of a joy to be around, is perhaps even worse to be around. Well-spoken, literate and a great conversational partner, her words are nonetheless laced with poisonous intent and sexual intensity, the kind of person who you feel has a knife to your back with just a word. Due her good education and strong confidence, she never seems to change her mood, and even if she is cornered, her smile never falters. She can perhaps be said to be the kind of person who never realizes when she is in a bad situation.

McJon01: We all know that the real reason Archer would lose to Rider is because the events of his own Holy Grail War left him with a particular weakness toward "older sister" types.

I thought you weren't supposed to make casters? Even if they are part of one set with Saber?

I'm in favor of keeping things simple and not being overly restrictive, at least to start, so I'm going to rule it fine.

After all, within the context of a stricter prompt interpretation, the only way to have a Combination skill at all would be to have a pair of sabers, which seems a little silly to me. It would in large part eliminate any possibility of using the combination skill in this contest. IMO, a restriction like that overly limits the kind of sheets that can be submitted at all, which is antithetical to actually getting entries and having a real contest. In this instance, the two work as a pair and play off each other, so it's different from having a random Caster thrown into the Saber mix anyway.

Just my thoughts. Happy to hear if anyone has something else to say on the matter.

So, after doing a bit more research into Pedro's legend as it was entwined with Tecun Uman's, I decided to change up how his first NP worked to more closely resemble the mythical record of their battle.

Now instead of a generic 'magic cancel' effect it's hopefully something a little bit more interesting...

    Strength- C
    Endurance- D
    Agility- C
    Mana- C
    Luck- B
    Noble Phantasm- C

Personality: A strong willed and often forceful Servant, willing to acknowledge his Master as an equal it is very unlikely he will see his Master as a leader. He isn’t egotistical or pig-headed, but he is quite proud of his own achievements and believes that he is quite talented and skilled. Saber can come across as an entrepreneurial businessman, a managing director of some kind and certainly one of ambition. He has been raised to believe that advancing the cause of the Ottoman Empire and his religion is an integral part of his purpose in life, his wish for the Holy Grail would likely involve the establishing of a global empire from which he can properly direct humanity to their proper purpose.

Saber often is focused, intensely, on the task at hand. Taking on the role of the powerful Kayser-i Rum, he can be calculating and gives off an aura of danger, this could easily convince others that he is an unfeeling and cold-hearted individual. Indeed he can be so dedicated to his expansions that his relationships with others can sometimes feel superficial or insincere. Indeed he has little true companionship with others, the closest one could get to Saber would be as a teacher of some kind.

Due to his upbringing and experiences in life Saber has a deep respect for teachers of Islamic theology, gathering together a group of them to form the Ulama. Unlike his interactions with those he might call friend, which can seem shallow, there is a sincerity in his respect for teachers of sciences, religious matters and literature. Treasuring these individuals as important aspects of his empire, this reverence is not limited to Muslim scholars, other religions and even atheists garner respect from him. Though he is deeply religious and identified as a religious warrior he accepts all religions into his empire as long as they act in accordance with his general rule.

Despite his fearsome reputation as “the Conqueror” Saber is, though very good at military campaigns, more of a terribly efficient administrator or civil governor. He gets a lot more enjoyment from reorganising the cities and countries of his conquests and making them better suit his needs as Sultan.

He quite enjoys opulence, despite being a quite pious man, as such he gathers quite a bit of wealth around himself. He is not greedy and will not steal from others when he deems it unnecessary, but gathers objects he likes to his own collection. He has collected a great deal of merchandise related to Bram Stoker’s Dracula, whether he is a legitimate fan of the story or not is unclear.

Likes: The Culture of different countries, Ruling, The fruits of his labour
    Dislikes: Zealous nationalists, Conflicting interests
    Talent: Min-Maxing
Natural Enemies: Demonic Defenders Of The State

    Appearance

    The Sword of Mehmed:

Appearance Description: Dignity and wealth are quite apparent in Saber’s appearance, while he himself is a stern man with a somewhat tanned complexion this doesn’t necessarily contrast with his clothing picked out from an assortment of fine fabrics and cloths with the occasional presence of well polished chainmail and platemail. He has quite the presence although this is more a cultivated one, rather than the naturally overwhelming presence possessed by his enemy but it is still enough to silence others with a glance. He has brown hair, well looked after like the rest of his appearance, alongside his trimmed beard. Aside from these he does have a phakeolis turban, a modification of traditionally Greek headwear, with traditionally white cloth.

    Skills

    Class Skills:

Magic Resistance (C): A pathetically low rank of Magic Resistance by the standards of the Saber class. It confers a protection against spells, cancelling those below two verses. However it provides no aid against High Thaumaturgy and Greater Rituals. Though it is far weaker than most of the Saber class it is still enough to provide Saber with some confidence when facing Caster class Servants.

Due to being in the Saber class and the close ties that Saber had to religion in life he receives this skill at C rank. Below average for the Saber class, but not exceptionally so.

Riding (B): A Class Skill conferred to both Rider and Saber class Servants, quite simply the ability to ride mounts or vehicles. Most vehicles and animals can be handled with above average skill, even those that did not exist during the lifetime of the Servant. Phantasmal Beasts are an exception to this Rank of the skill.

Saber lead his armies in conquest of many countries and due to his upbringing was required to know how to properly ride a horse or other mount. This grants him this rank in the skill, despite not having any legends associated specifically with riding.

    Personal Skills:
Charisma (B+): A composite skill consisting of the Servants charm, as well as their capability to command or unify an army or country. It is a rare talent, however it is often possessed by Kings and Emperors, while also being inherent to the Saver class.

At this rank it is sufficient to lead an empire as it’s Sultan, or Caesar. The morale of troops he leads is very high. It is even intimidating to those who would stand against him in battle if they are of weak will. The positive modifier refers to him having a particular pull over all territories he laid claim to in life including the Ottoman Empire and the Roman Empire, although both are now extinct.

Being one of the most successful Sultans of the Ottoman Empire Saber managed to improve their legal system, bring many territories under their control and inspire loyalty to himself alone in his vassals. Additionally, by claiming to be the inheritor to the Roman Empire he has a somewhat unjust claim on these territories.

Imperial Privilege (EX): Due to the insistence of the skillholder, abilities that would otherwise be unavailable to the Servant can be obtained for a short period of time. A skill that might have been impossible to obtain can be given to the Servant.

At EX Rank, a phenomenally high rank, almost any skill can be obtained, even those that may be considered a burden to the body, such as Divinity. Saber’s relevant skills are Protection of the Faith, Martial Blessing, Golden Rule and Eye for Art.

Being a Sultan who turned his country into an empire he could be compared to legendary founders such as Romulus.

Military Tactics (B): A tactical knowledge not used for one-on-one combat but instead the mobilisation of many combatants at once. Allowing the Servant to direct battles and long-term wars. It generally gives bonus modifiers when using one’s own Anti-Army Noble Phantasm, or in dealing with an enemy Anti-Army Noble Phantasm.

At this rank it is certainly fitting for el-Fatih, the Conqueror, who created an empire. His military exploits are what he was most famous for, even if he did make a variety of other achievements.

    Noble Phantasms

Istanbul’un Fethi- Conquest of Istanbul: (D, Anti-City): While not a Noble Phantasm that crystallises the fall and conquest of Constantinople, a Noble Phantasm that would be possessed by his Archer class incarnation, Saber’s first Noble Phantasm realises how his administration of Constantinople (which was renamed to Istanbul under his rule) after conquering it managed to change the city into what would become the capital of the Ottoman Empire.

Activating this Noble Phantasm has a fairly simple effect, the surrounding 5.4 square miles are now considered to be a part of the Ottoman Empire. The Noble Phantasm can be sustained for as long as Saber has the Mana to keep it going and could quite easily be compared to Territory Creation, considering how little Mana it takes to upkeep. Territory Creation may in fact have a more dramatic effect on the environment as Istanbul’un Fethi is quite limited in what it accomplishes, although what it does is worthy of being a Noble Phantasm.

To go into a more detailed description, the 5.4 square miles would still be considered to be a part of Japan, Greece, Britain etc. They would retain all of their original qualities. They are also now considered to be a part of the Ottoman Empire which has little effect outside of the effect it can have on Servants. While it is unlikely there would be a Servant who is in some way debilitated by being within the Ottoman Empire it does aid Saber in many ways. Just as his nemesis, Vlad III, undergoes a dramatic increase in Parameters while within Romania, so too does Saber while within his Empire.

Saber’s Parameters increase to the following:

    Strength- A
    Endurance-C
    Agility- B
    Mana- B
    Luck- B
    Noble Phantasm- C

Istanbul’un Fethi does not require a great deal of Mana to activate, but it does require some concentration and forward planning on Saber’s part as only one instance of this Noble Phantasm can exist at a time. Having to activate Istanbul’un Fethi multiple times in a single day would likely exhaust Saber, due to the Mana consumed. There is some visual indication that the Noble Phantasm is in play, at its outermost boundary there is a flickering image of a walled city, mimicking Istanbul as it was during Saber’s reign.

The Noble Phantasm itself has little other effects to speak of, it cannot even restrain an enemy within it or block an oncoming assault, it will also aid allies who would receive benefits, such as another Ottoman Sultan, as easily as it does Saber. There are a few ways of stopping the implementation of this Noble Phantasm, firstly Territories constructed through Territory Creation of B Rank or higher can resist the Noble Phantasm. The skill Demonic Defender of the State is also very effective in combatting this Noble Phantasm, only a C Rank being needed. This Noble Phantasm is completely unusable within Romania, but when used within a domain of the Ottoman Empire such as Turkey it will expand to cover the entire country.

Osmanli Padisahlari- Devlet-i Ebed-muddet: (D, Support): Saber’s second Noble Phantasm could be described as a mindset that takes an easy yet unprecedented route to victory. While a Noble Phantasm with an identical name is possessed by later Sultans, Saber’s version is far more underwhelming than the rest considering that the Monarch of the Ottoman Empire did not yet hold the great power that Saber was to give it.

Taking advantage of the continuous decline in power of the Byzantine Empire Saber led an army to conquer it’s crown jewel, Constantinople. Seizing power in this way the Ottoman Empire sprung out of thin air, suddenly having access to trade routes throughout the world as well as some control over the Silk Road.

When Saber is wounded, or backed into a corner, during combat with an enemy this Noble Phantasm will begin to search for the opportunity to make an unexpected blow against the foe. It is quite likely that this opening exists somewhere in the enemy's defense and, casting aside thought of defense, Saber will leap into their assault in order to grab this opportunity.

Even if Saber is harmed, it is likely that the benefits of using this Noble Phantasm outweigh the risk of being injured. While the damage dealt to his enemy will not be exceptional, or have some long-lasting negative impact on them, the wound of the blow will aid Saber for the period of it’s existence (until it is healed). Upon successful usage of this Noble Phantasm Saber will be revitalised, while not being perfectly healed he will now be in the position to fight once again and will have regained much of his stamina. From then on, as long as the wound exists, it provides Saber with a slow stream of Mana as if he had Self-Replenishment (Mana).

It should be noted that, despite its immediate strengths, this Noble Phantasm has some overwhelming weaknesses. It can only be used once and even if Saber fails in landing the blow he will not only lose the capability to use this Noble Phantasm but he may end up in the firing line of the foe. Skills such as Uncrowned Arms Mastership or Martial Blessing aid in protection against this Noble Phantasm, as well as other Noble Phantasms which represent a high proficiency in combat such as Knight of Honour.

el-Fatih- Path of the Conqueror: (C, Anti-Army): Saber’s final Noble Phantasm, the pinnacle of his existence as the Conquering Sultan of the Ottoman Empire. While it is his most powerful Noble Phantasm he only has access to it while within the Ottoman Empire, a no longer existent Empire. It’s activation not only demands a high Mana toll from Saber, at most letting it be used three times during battle, but just as some Noble Phantasms require specific body parts as components el-Fatih requires Saber to have possession of both of his arms to activate this Noble Phantasm.

Upon usage this Noble Phantasm summons the force of a conquering army of Saber’s reign, sending it off towards a target. Usually after a dramatic speech or declaration by Saber he will gesture imperiously towards his unfortunate foe, what looks a cloud of dust rapidly approaches them. Upon closer inspection the ground upon which this dust travelled will be covered in tracks, as if an ancient army had passed through years ago which may puzzle some investigators.

This concept is that of Saber’s combined campaigns, during which he conquered many countries which became a part of the Ottoman Empire. A force that might be compared to the exaggerated power of the forces of the Ottoman Empire is directed towards his opponent, those touching or in close proximity to the ground where the dust is will be affected, being knocked aside with indiscriminate force as if they had suddenly been hit by a moving car.

The Noble Phantasm deals considerable external damage, while it is certainly enough to kill physically weak Servants it may not be enough to lay low a tougher Servant. Here it should be noted that, while the high Mana cost is somewhat disproportionate to the actual amount of damage delivered by this Noble Phantasm, the Noble Phantasm does possess a number of additional effects, as well as useful applications in combat.

Despite the dust cloud travelling directly forward it does so at quite a pace, one which even Servants would find difficult to avoid, furthermore a larger dust cloud remains where the original attack passes through creating useful cover for Saber. While the Mana cost is extortionately high if the Noble Phantasm hits it’s intended Saber will regain a great deal of the Mana used, enough to reuse the Noble Phantasm. As such he can, hypothetically, bombard an enemy with these attacks until they collapse from the continual wounds suffered.

With respect to the wounding of the enemy Servants, while they might be mostly external and mundane wounds, aside from some physically trauma, the Servant will appear to have been assaulted by an army of some kind, using ancient gunpowder weaponry, spears and cavalry as it’s mainstay of the army. Even if the Servant is strong enough to endure this Noble Phantasm, the explosive force with which it hits is enough to knock most off their feet, disarm them, or force them to kneel.

Mehmed: So, this is your first Saber-Class Servant huh? He's pretty well-done, though I have a few points of criticism.

First, I think given his level of religion faith at least a B-rank in Magic Resistance would be appropriate. Since C-rank is like the bare minimum for the Saber Class any boosts he receives should really raise it above that, plus there's a slight contradiction in the description which both calls it pathetically low but also not "exceptionally" below average.

Imperial Privilege also doesn't really fit him IMO, much less at such a high rank. While the specific criteria for possessing it are somewhat vague in canon, I tend to picture it for rulers who raised themselves to the level of gods or what-not, while Islam is very strict on the whole "no God but Allah" thing. In particular, I'd expect him to utterly refuse granting himself the Divinity Skill for that reason.

Critique aside, I do like how you made his third NP "recreating the effects of an army" rather then a more generic summoning of his army itself. Much more creative and interesting.
