If anything, calling up the squad would be Roland's NP. I don't think Charlemagne did anything like that in the legend. I do wonder what they'll do with the fact Joyeuse was said to contain a shard from the Lance of Longinus in it though. Since Longinus is probably a World Pillar in the Nasuverse, it seems like you could spin something interesting off of that...

And also for even calling the armor out for being dumb when Fate has a strong trend of stupid armor is me being an idiot but ayyooo

Regardless of whether it's on boys or girls, anime armor is pretty much universally intended to look cool/pretty rather then practical.

I actually remember a Charlemagne sheet where the outer layer of his sword could be "cast off" to reveal the Lance of Longinus underneath. That was pretty cool, and maybe they'll do something like that here.

I don't care much about the fact that he looks exactly like Gudao, since I think the way his outfit/armor looks is more important, and his armor looks good. The one thing I don't really like is how his sword looks exactly like Galatine, unless they pull some good explanation for it

World Pillar Joyeuse would be cool and all and put the big guy up there as an Important Heroic Spirit, Okay but that assumes that Longinus actually is a Pillar (eh) and also who knows if Nasu likes Charl enough to give him Cool Shit.

Also yeah obviously Call The Squad (+die) would make more sense with Roland but has every single Servant ever with no exception always had an NP that made sense?

Wait, his NP name is actually revealed? I hadn't seen that yet. I could imagine an NP where he summons all the swords of the 12 paladins that slash the enemy one after another, then pulls out Joyeuse to finish them off. Would make for a flashy Musou-style finisher, which is clearly the kind of thing Extella is going for.

Franks were Germanic until they assimilated into the Gallo-Roman population. So, not "German," at least not more than, say, Alfred the Great, but certainly not "French" either.

I've thought of doing him before actually. The Iron Hand would definitely be NP-worthy, but IDK how do pull it off other then just giving him a literal iron hand, which would be cool-looking but kind of boring as far as NPs go. I also considered letting him "grow" mechanical limbs to replace parts of his body cut off/destroyed, but that might be getting a bit too Terminator-esque...
