A Re:Creators thread in mid-September 2017? How often have we had threads based around original anime series that just ended? I don't know, but based on what's been said in the Summer 2017 Anime thread, it sounded like it was perfectly fine to start one.

Besides, come on, it should have had one earlier in a forum mostly about Type-Moon stuff, what with a story involving hero characters fighting each other under the direction of Ei Aoki.

I'm starting this thread only now because I caught up on episodes 4-21 all of last week, up to the evening before episode 22 premiered.

God I would love to see more Re:Creators material in the future. Season 2 when?

I really wish it had been at least a 26 episode series, or even better, a full 3/4 year programme with 36 episodes. The scale of the series was just too much for 22, and it felt very cut down throughout the second half.

Altair was shit through and through, what was the point of Sota, I felt for none of the creators and only cared about (less than half) the creations, all of the deaths felt very pointless and contrived, and the execution wasn't nearly as good as it can have been.

Other than that it was okay.

I watched it out of curiosity sake, not out of actual interest. I wouldn't watch it again.

I will however be on the lookout for Meteora doujins now, hue.

Aw, more upfront negativity than I expected.

Watching practically the whole series within the span of a week, and at this particular, 4-years-out-from-graduating-with-a-Bachelor's-in-Creative-Writing-and-with-little-work-to-show-for-it time of my life...

I broke down with the close of Episode 21, particularly after listening to Sota's monologue after being "addressed" by Setsuna.



It was honestly the most personally affecting new TV anime I've seen, at least since 2011 (Madoka, Mawaru Penguindrum) or maybe whenever I saw Fate/Zero. More probably the most relevant-to-real-life TV anime I've seen. I'll only spend so much time gushing about it right this minute, or tonight, what with the FateGO stuff I want to get done and all, but GOD.

That worked for the first few episodes but then it went nowhere and then they brought it up again in one of the shittiest ways possible.

Should hae just removed Sota.

Honestly Meteora was the only reason I still stuck through the first few episodes. Sad she didn't get much screentime in the battle.

I wasn't exactly displaying negativity or with the intent to sound mean. The show had something I wanted to sate my thirst for knowledge, so I sought after it. Other than that, the show didn't have anything that I personally had an interest in to keep watching. I was hoping it would, but it didn't.

Pretty impressive when a show manages to feel cut down and stretched out at the same time.

The whole final battle took like five episodes and could've been resolved in one (two at most), with nothing changing except the number of pointless character deaths.
