Which one is better or outstanding in your opinion, Kara no Kyoukai's movies or novels? As a person who only watched the movies, I'm curious about your response.

You're not going to find a lot of discussion here I think, because most people who have read the novels read a wonky translation that they've been warned is wonky, and most people who have read the original Japanese and seen the movies are going to say "pretty good adaptation, except for whatever the hell 6 was trying to do."
Localizationing stuff
the issue i have with recalled out summer is that in the novel you don't learn that merca is a kid till the end since his whole thing about killing shiki was very Diavolo
while in the movie he's just right there
don't know how they could have adapted it better though

Well, I actually wonder which one feels better. Movies have beatiful harmony with good cinematography, unique musics and poetic atmospher. But when i read the first volume of KnK novels, i was fascinated. It had an interesting and unique storytelling and different wording. It feels very different from movies, although plot is the same. That's why i wonder what readers of novel think about which feels better and which they would prefer. Even if there is a little difference in impressiveness between them. If the translation is wonky as you said, then I won't expect many responses.
Movies were all around better then the philosopbabble snorefest both novels were besides Mirai Fukuin. It wasn't even GOOD philosobabble for the most part.
I like some of the expanded setting the novels gave (on thaumaturgy, Araya's group, the mysteries, etc.) but everything else the movies did made it a far stronger work.

The Hall of Selected Cruor Praise
If you mean the last minutes of M23, then yeah, it's very similar to M40.
M23 is the 15 minutes track, so that's why it confused me, because for me the signature parts are the beginning and the middle.
