I'm still getting the hang of this. I used to own one many years ago but it died a sudden death when my brother loaned it to his girlfriend. Now I bought a shiny, new Intuous 4 and I love it.
So, I guess I'll be dumping sketchiness here now

Yay, Iskander~
His left eye looks a bit funny but other than that really good.
Why there be so many people that make me feel sucky? ;_;

Nice.
The day I can draw like this will be the day the earth stood still.
ACHA is much cleaner than your last drawing
It's not perfect, but I don't think I need to lecture about everything. That's something most people fix by themselves.
The main problem really is perspective and proportions:
Sorry, I'm not good at drawing upward face perspective myself >3>;; It probably has some flaws, but good enough at demonstrating my point.
His left eye is drawn too small and it should only get that foreshortened if the face is turned say that his nose is over his face contour.
The way you drew his ears implies a facing downward perspective while his chin/nose implies a facing upward perspective. Even if you're drawing anime characters you should at least keep basic proportions or landmarks, though modification can be okay and can be handwaved as a style.
Here are basic facial proportions:
1) The attachment of the top of the ear should be a little below the eyes and the peak height of the ear should be around eye level.
2) The attachment of the bottom of the ear should be around nose level. This proportion can deviate for people with longer faces, but if you draw ears below the nose, it can look pretty weird.
3) Where the mandible has that distinct angle, is around where the mouth is. Again this proportion can deviate for people with different faces or stylistic purposes.
I don't think at that angle should Archer's bottom of his chin be that visible. It's important to take note of perspective and proportions by drawing lines on the face which requires a strong sense of 3dness. Drawing the skull/body outlines helps. It's something that will come to you through practice, experience, and observation.
Even though anime is "not realistic," the principles of realism breathes life into your art. I look forward to your progress~

Ah, I see what you mean. I'll keep those corrections in mind the next time I try that perspective. Honestly, it was my first time trying to draw something from that angle and I was wholly expecting to make silly mistakes. Still, I welcome the criticism as a chance to improve myself Drawing is a fun hobby and I'd like to one day be good at.
That being said - I don't wanna go to work. I wanna stay home doodling D:
Still trying to figure out the best opacity for my paintbrush and eraser.
The ahoge is disproportionally small. XD
inorite?

that was the best I could do. It just kept looking weird ;__;
Hmm...just extend it to point down more.
That should do it. The tip needs to be thinner anyways.

Bigger! Bigger!
Whoa, that's a big improvement!
Playing around with brushes in photoshop is fun, but sometimes a paint doodle is fine too.
I'm curious. What do you guys use? Wacom's?
