Are only nodes with an event active accessible or do we poke around looking for things? Or rather, to put it differently, do we join events in progress, or look for/make them too (or both)?

Yeah, event map shows where there's a scene you can join, starting or currently-in-progress. For now they are the only ones you can join, but new ones will appear every now and then. They are either based around a certain NPC, or "Mystery" events that might be based around something strange or unknown to your characters.

Also, if it's invoking stuff we haven't necessarily used/wiseuped in Rec proper yet, I imagine wiseups aren't required in Recant? For example, can you use a skill without specifically calling attention to it? Or just reference stuff lightheartedly?

Wiseups aren't required in Recant. Keep your stuff secret for the main game!

Want to be clear on something, Fate/Recant is a secondary RP that only people who got into Reclamation are allowed to play? Or is it just for very specific events?

To get things somewhat back on track, I think we will have to wrap up the Opera scene over IRC, PMs, or simply in some kind of summarized fashion. Kind of a pity, honestly, but at this point it seems vital in order to build up any kind of momentum whatsoever. This means that I'll start writing up Day 2 stuff for everyone else.

Keeping this in mind, if you are still interested in RPing in Rec, please do let me know in some fashion (IRC, PM, etc). If you are not, then letting me know would also be pretty helpful. >.>

Deadline is the 16th of February. Anyone who hasn't expressed intrest by that point will be NPCed or otherwise puppeted. I will be aiming to start Day 2 at that point as well (provided that there are enough people up for it). If you have any IC plans or things you would like to do (e.g visit a location/individual in the morning, for example), be sure to throw me a message on them. If not, I'll set up something on my end.

Tbh I was gonna shift all my attention to Rec once Ga Rei ended but that ending got dragged out super long, but the big drop in momentum from being timelocked made it hard to get a rhythm to post but I'm still here and want to be in.
