It is soul magic that ties into his form so I think we need to study on the subject plus its what the book that sokaris translated for us is about. I would be fine with Occlemency as normal but given the minus we created for the year because of the Sakura dream it might be better to work on something else for now.

Are we talking for them working together for the summer only? Or are we talking more long term?

The only thing important that comes to mind is Occlemency since we might as well start her on that if she hasn't already. Shinji has introduced most of the rest of them to it. Granted teacher her the skill makes the glasses a little less useful when everyone he hangs around can block it, but hey they are his friends.

Shinji already has semi partners in most skills he is learning. Miyuki is Herbs and Transfiguration, Natsumi is potions and alchemy, Amber is melee (and some other smaller skills) and Selina is now Soul Magic. Do we attempt to work with Hermione to partner in DADA spells?

Might as well since he should be in a better disposition to learn it with a friend. Plus, Selina is a good match for this. People with good imagination likely have some tricks that help focus and stimulate one's mind. I don't expect a breakthrough kind of revelation but some general advice that helps stabilize Shinji's psyche.
