Or: The One You've All Been Waiting For
A reiteration (read: copy-paste) of this contest: This is another fanfic exchange contest like Secret Santa, but a lemon-themed one instead. Like last time, people submit anonymously submit prompts, receive them in turn to write, all of which get posted publicly and anonymously for the community to vote on.Because of how writing lemons just is, we will continue to use the pools system from previous contests, in which users submit pools of three prompts, and writers need only pick one of those three prompts to write.
A General Summary:
- Participants will submit their prompts, three per participant. PM them to me. You may post them publicly if you like, but the general idea is to keep them anonymous.
- Once the deadline's up, participants are then another user’s prompts to write for. Of the three, you may choose one to write in exchange. You can write more than one, but the idea here is to give more freedom of choice to the receiver, in the case where if they don’t like one prompt, they won’t be stuck with that
- Up until the writing deadline is up, participants send their fics to me. Once the deadline's up, all the fics will be posted anonymously into one megathread.
- The community (so, not only limited to participants, even non-fic writers may participate) may then vote on their most favorite fics out of all the submission, rather than use formal judging. At the end, points are tallied and a winner is declared.
Rules and Guidelines:
- All written fics need to have lemon content. This is a lemon contest, after all. While you don’t need to make the entire thing a lemon, and PWP is certainly fine too, at least keep that in mind.
- Participants that submit ideas must write an idea in turn. Even if you can’t finish, an incomplete submission is better than none at all. If you failed to turn something in from a previous contest, you may only enter if you submit all the fics you owe beforehand.
- There is no length requirement, but general expectations are 1k words minimum, 20k maximum. Of course, those are just guidelines, so even if your fic exceeds those, it’s not like it’ll get disqualified or anything.
- Be considerate of others and keep your prompts flexible, expecting one-shot length pieces. Similarly, please consider what kind of prompts people probably won't want to write. If the prompt is overly offensive or grotesque, chances are it won't get written.
- TYPE-MOON fics/premises only for prompts. Don't request crossovers.
- As well as noting what Nasu works one is familiar with, it would also help for participants to note what type of lemons they would or wouldn’t be fine with writing, so that authors aren’t saddled with writing something they really aren’t comfortable writing about.
Pitched ideas will be displayed publicly here, grouped by user (but anonymously), so you have time to think before prompts are distributed. The prize, again, will go to the author of the winning lemon, and be of either an illustration of their fic, or of another fic of their choice. The prompt submission deadline is in one week, 1/20/18, 11:59 PM EST. The deadline to submit a fic has been extended to 3/20, 11:59 PM EST. You may submit your completed fic through PM, or link me a file over Discord or IRC. However, considering formatting and BBCode, forum PMs are ideal to preserve such a thing.Submitted Prompts
