I'd say "D". Understanding married life better can also help us find a suitable partner.

You decide to ask Carwyn for advice on getting married. It’s relevant to your interests and he’d already offered his help.
Upon being asked, Carwyn takes a moment to think and then admits that he doesn’t have any convenient tips and tricks for you to use to get married. However, considering your specific situation, he suggests perhaps working on your economic appeal.
For a magus, marriage is typically a matter of economics. What benefits can one gain by marrying and what will one lose in doing so? If both parties have something to gain, then their marriage is a good idea and they go through with it.
In Esabelle’s case, or rather, her father’s case, by having his daughter marry you, he loses the opportunity for her to marry another man. Whether or not the benefit you represent is higher than the cost of another man’s benefit is essentially the crucial factor. In his opinion, taking this position to heighten your prestige was a good idea, but who knows if it is enough.
“How much do you know about her other suitors?”
You admit you know almost nothing and he advises you to perhaps change that. Being able to judge the gap between you and your competitors is a good idea. That way, you can then decide what you must do to raise your own appeal or perhaps even… lower theirs. In certain situations, it may be necessary for you to lose something in order to marry the girl you want to, and in that situation you’ll have to decide how much you’re willing to lose.
You take his advice to heart and the two of you go back to work.
Another week passes. Over the week, you continue to work hard alongside Carwyn and your bond grows somewhat. The two of you have made considerable progress, thanks to your smooth communication. You’ve also been checking up on the other teams and they’ve been performing as such.
Team A has been moving somewhat slowly. The work they’ve been getting done is thorough and there doesn’t seem to be any mistakes, but it’s coming out at a somewhat slow pace. There doesn’t seem to be any problems with their communication. On the contrary, the two have been getting along quite nicely. You’ve noticed however that every time you check up on them, Sylvie is asking Kira a question and the old man is calmly and gingerly lecturing, like a grandparent to his granddaughter.
Team B has been moving just on schedule. They’re just about progressing at the expected pace. You have noticed that it seems like communication between the two has been minimal. Additionally, you have the feeling that Trisha seems even more battered than usual. Her eyebags seem darker than usual. You can tell she’s been pushing it; you’ve noticed the amount of energy drinks she’s been consuming. Ethan’s condition is about the same as always.
At this overall rate, you might be able to barely finish the project on time, though it’ll be really close and you may have to resort to some really late-nighters later on.
There’s one more update worth noting. Recently, your lecture had their first big test and you just finished grading it. The results are as follows:
Total # of Students: 35
Mean: 68/100
Median: 82/100
Highest Grade: 99/100
Lowest Grade: 0/100
These weren’t the grades you were hoping for from your students. You believed that the test you gave was a very fair one that didn’t test them on anything too difficult, but the overall results were less than expected. In addition, some students seem to just be completely lost. As a new lecturer, perhaps this should’ve been expected, but it doesn’t make you too happy. You’re not sure whether it’s your teaching that’s wrong or something else. In addition, you don’t really know how your higher ups may judge your lecturing performance and if that may affect your position in the future.
Two weeks have passed for your stay at Waltham. There are four left. Also, Esabelle’s ball is in 3. At your current point, you are unsure how things will turn out in the future. You are just as unsure whether or not you will be able to get that Associate Director title at the end of your stay here.
As always, your time here is limited.
Looking forward, what steps would you like to take regarding your current situation?
Pick up to 3:
[] Start gathering information on your competing suitors
[] Hire an assassin to take out your competition
[] Urge everyone to work faster on the project
[] Talk to a member or pair of your team about their work
[] Change up the pair allotments
[] Talk to the students in your class who are especially struggling
[] Open more office hours
[] Find a teacher’s aide to help your lecture
[] Leave things as they are.
[] Write-in
Current Status
[] Talk to the students in your class who are especially struggling
By saving the weak links, the whole average is boosted greatly
[] Talk to a member or pair of your team about their work
Always good to keep up to date with progress
[] Find a teacher’s aide to help your lecture
The Nomikata family should be helpfulIf there's a problem with our engagement with students, this will help us out greatly
And like that, all the problems are solved

[] Hire an assassin to take out your competition - im not a goody two shoes now
[] Talk to a member or pair of your team about their work - scolding them a bit
[] Talk to the students in your class who are especially struggling - a little bit of spanking too
hehehe

These sound good. We need to deal with our current issues before doing anything like assassinating people.
EDIT: Decided to change things around.

Carwyn gives good advice.
[] Change up the pair allotments
Carwyn gives good advice, and now that we've received it we can switch up the pairings to bolster workflow.
Trisha and Ethan aren't going well together. She's overworking herself and he's being slow. On the other hand, Sylvie and Kira are getting along a bit too well. They need more energy and drive. Ethan's lazing off. He needs to be handled by someone that knows what they're doing.
New teams:
A: Ethan and Kira
B: Trisha and Carwyn
C: You and Sylvie.
[] Talk to the students in your class who are especially struggling
A lecturer's responsibility isn't to ensure everyone passes; it is to make sure that those who do well get the results they deserve. There will always be those who can't learn the material. Such is inevitable. Looking at the median grade, it's actually quite high; over half of your students got over an 80, which is an excellent result. This means there are a few under-performing students dragging down the majority's average with abysmally low scores. There was also one 99, meaning at least one student understood your lectures perfectly.
Thus, the best solution is to address the problem students directly and alleviate their weighing down of the average. Perhaps remedial classes will do. It's not ideal, nor is it magus-like, but perhaps it's a bit lecturer-ish?

Looking forward, you decide that you should settle the matters in front of you first. Your plans for now are to talk to the students in your class who are struggling as well as talk to the members of your team regarding their progress.
After class, the next day, you try to pull aside the students you think are struggling the most in class, and ask them how they’re doing. Of the 7 who you think are struggling the most, you are able to get five to talk to you. The other two didn’t come to class.
After talking to the students, you gather a bit of info on why they may be struggling. The following is a summary of your conversations and the comments they made:
- The lectures are hard to understand
- You’re not very available outside of class for questions
- The class is going very fast and it’s hard to keep up
- Some just don’t care about their grades
You note down their comments. Moving forward, at the lab, you go to talk to the other members of your team on their progress.
First, you talk to Team A about their slow progress. Sylvie immediately apologizes and states that it’s her fault. Every time she has trouble, she asks Kira for help and thus she’s been slowing the old man down. She seems to be reflecting on herself harshly. Kira on the other hand doesn’t seem worried. He tells you that you need not be anxious. The two of them will be fine, just trust him. You are unsure what he means.
Next, you check in on Team B. As you suspected, Trisha’s been pulling most of the weight of the team while Ethan’s been taking his sweet time. You scold Ethan a bit but he seems mostly unrepentant. The two of them have been getting their work done, but you feel uneasy about the future.
These were the two steps you had decided to take looking forward, but you’re still undecided about what else you can do to settle your problems. Overall, you’re mostly stuck between three other options and don’t know what the best step forward is. However, perhaps there is something else you can do, with your newfound information.
Tiebreaker Vote: What to do?
A) Find a teacher’s aide to help your lecturesB) Start gathering information on your competing suitorsC) Change up the pair allotmentsD) Other (Write-In)
Note: We had a three-way tie for a third option last vote, so we'll be having a tiebreaker vote this time.
Hmmm... Maybe we should switch up the teams. Pair Carwyn with Ethan, and we will pair with Trisha.
