My point still stands that there's no sense debating people you're unwilling to extend even the most basic respect to. If you act like an asshole then nobody will want to agree with you, even if you're actually right.

    Dude, I'm your ally here.

And believe me, if it was possible to put an entire thread on one's block-list I would've by now. (I don't want to block Dullahan himself since his posts on non-F/GO related matters can actually be quite interesting)

You have no stake in here.

    You do not play FGO.

You habitually argue about things you have no idea about.

Pardon my French, but you're the worst excuse of an ally possible.

You know what, I actually am done here. (This isn't because of your post, but from reflecting on my experiences of the last few days arguing here)

Dullahan's posts are clearly pushing my emotional buttons in ways that keep me from responding rationally. At this point it's better for everyone else here and my own sanity to stay well away from this thread.

I know you're not asking me but personally I would like that sci-fi courtesans collaboration with Ikuhara. Having trouble finding Koto's translation of that particular interview but I think that was what it was.

Which is entirely congruent with what I've been saying. It is precisely because I am not yelling at a cloud, i.e. that I have identified something real enough to hit a nerve among FGO 'players', that people (such as you) are so mad about it. If you were one of those mythical beasts who unironically enjoy FGO, you wouldn't be replying here at all. My position would be simply incomprehensible to you. The only reason you're here is because you see something in it that is in you to begin with. Even if it's just your superego telling you mobage are a waste of money.
I'm vexed because every now and then you show up in the FGO thread just to shitpost and that's annoying and because I wish you stopped giving a fuck and went back to writing mial. But that's a pipe dream so instead I'll just blogpost here until I get bored and forget about the thread again. You may pretend to know my mood, but hey I just wanted to brag about my field trip.

It's hard to take you seriously when you're such a coward as to restrain your rants here where you know nobody will actually bother to engage you outside of those that know of your history and thus are willing to give you a pass.

Incidentally, it'd rather weird to believe FGO is an opiate just because you need to enjoy it in moderation when that is the case for literally everything. Excess has always been bad.

The only ones that I've seen act triggered are draconic and overmaster and I don't think either actually plays fgo.

Oh he did? I must have missed it.

    - - - Updated - - -

Anyways, like, his behavior annoyed me because it was disruptive hence why I came here in first place but I can't bring myself to take his argument seriously. That's why I don't really engage with that and just stick to the everything else.

That's why I cleverly included an exception clause.

You included an exception clause so vague as to be meaningless, so I ignored it, preferring to confront the general thrust of your claim with its being egregiously wrong

most of the people getting mad have join dates in 2015 or later, in what sense do they know 'my history' - and even if they did what on earth makes you think they'd give me a pass

I'm giving you a pass because you've read more Dostoyevsky than I have.

At this point the damage has been done. The situation is not redeemable. The only viable option is to burn it all down and start a new IP, but even this probably wouldn't work under the present circumstances of cultural production. You're asking me what I want in the way of new TM-branded content, but the truth is that it is the desire for more TM-branded content - more, more, more, always more - that has gotten us into this situation. What I want is nothing. If possible I would want less than nothing.

So you want an established author and artist to stop doing stuff that gets them paid?

    - - - Updated - - -

Half the new stuff are Nasu's whims and wishes, anyways, pretty sure nobody expected or wanted FGO, Extella or Last Encore, for instance, until the mushroom announced he felt like writing those.

"A is B except when C" is obviously going to be wrong if you delete half of it so it becomes "A is B".

That's the point. Those that do know don't get mad, that is, they give you a pass for whatever reasons. (Also there's a lot of pseudointellectual shitpostery here, so really it's just honor among thieves or some other appropriate turn of phrase I can't be bothered to think about)
Those that don't, react to your condescension. They don't really care for your argument, they care on the way you're presenting it. Hence why it's people who don't even play FGO that are getting triggered here.
