Could never get into green tea (except for that one time when I had it with mochi. Good stuff). So I drink my black tea straight, and only add stuff if I catch cold.

Didn't know a thread like this existed. Learn something new everyday, I guess.

Re: topic, I have two tins of loose leaf TWG teas I got for my birthday two years ago that I haven't touched b/c stingy Filipinos reserve that sort of good shit for special occasions that never seem to happen.

Is this actually in Richmond or is that just the name of the establishment?

It is in Richmond; Richmond Street that is. So, not the one you're thinking of.

The Bingham is the posh place for tea in Richmond, but it wasn't that great. There was a better place I went to but I can't for the life of me remember the name of it, and Google tells me nothing.

White tea with blueberry extract is actually the best.

(Green tea and some blends of black are next)

I am a huge fan of green tea with mint. I don't really like my tea sweetened.

I found a tea that's a rooibos blend with chai. So far disappointing. I think the chai spices overpower the rooibos, tending to leave you with a vaguely middling chai. Probably best to keep the two apart.

I love infusing Earl Grey with mint or lavender, add some cream and sugar, mmm, it's the best. I also love chai and Thai tea, with or without boba in it. Also, as any good Texas boy, I'll go to one of my local chicken eateries and get a large Styrofoam cup filled with sugar water infused with a tiny hint of tea, from time to time.

The last batch of tea I bought to try was terrible. I prefer green, rose, rice/barley, chocolate/coconut or thai tea. Some herbal/flowery/fruity ones are ok... I like mango & hibiscus ones but haven't cared for the blackberry one I last bought.

I actually prefer jasmine over the oolong but both are good if its a good quality brand.

I usually add sugar but some teas are good straight as long as they're prepared hot.
