Dissidia Final Fantasy

I always liked the Dissidia games so I figured that since the first DLC for Dissidia NT was annouced and that Opera Omnia has gone global for a while it would be appropriate to have a Dissidia thread.

Here you can talk about the Dissidia games so give your theories about future Dissidia NT characters or talk about your experiences in Opera omnia for they are welcome here.

Keep in mind that this is mainly a Dissidia thread so don’t go overboard with main series content : this isn’t a thread where people can prep their raids in FF XIV.

I'm still sad and disappointed that NT doesn't have EX Burst.

To be fair with them they did say that they wanted at least 50 characters in the game and they do plan to rework the character in between updates.

Speaking of which I do some kind of theory list for the game.
I will be using the selflproclamed rule of 3 : a hero, a villan and an important character for each game.

1 : aside from Chaos I don’t really see anyone else
2: Minwu obviously : Nomura wants him in and he was the protagonist of II’s side story.
3: honestly I just want Luneth’s remake design as an alt from this game but for the sake of choice I will say Xande even though he is dull.
4: full
5: Gilgamesh making a comeback would be noce plus his playstyle works : he does random damage although his EX skill could allow him to control the damage dealt.
6: Kinda hard to be honest : Locke is the favorite and needs more love, Celes would be interesting as a anti-Marksman and Shadow would also work.
7: Vayne worls similarly to Tifa so she might not return (also NT = No Tifa). So probably Vincent since we knew a gunman.
8: Toss up between Laguna and Rinoa. Although both could appeau
9: Vivi should be obvious but I don’t know how he could work. Steiner would feel out of place but he has Spellblade.
10: Yuna with maybe Auron coming for the ride later on.
11: I only know the Shadow lord so ill go with that. Oh Prishe could work if her Skillchain is reworked
12: If Gabranth doesn’t come back then either Ashe or Balthier will take his place.
13: Serah would be interesting as an Archer and Caius would make a good foil.
14 : Again I only know Gaius for the villans.
15: Ardyn for the villan is a given. For the second one I would pick Ignis becuase I feel he had the most work in his episode which could hint at which one of the Guards they would pick.

If there's gonna be 50 characters eventually, the rule of 3 is probably invalid, but well, for argument's sake my want list would be

1: Chaos
2-3: Never played so dunno.
4: Edge would be cool
5: Gilgamesh
6: Edgar, or maybe they can go for Sabin and make a weird gimmick around him. Like, he could play like a fighting game character where you have to input 236X or something like that for a special move.
7: Aerith or Vincent
8: Laguna or Rinoa, yeah
9: Steiner. He's a great character, k.
10: Yuna/Auron
11: Prishe I guess since I never play this game to begin with
12: Balthier/Basch/Gabranth please. But Ashe is a key chara so it could be her too.
13: Noel/Serah and Caius
14: Dunno
15: Dunno
