The thing I'm most excited about is the ggo spinoff because I've read the novels and it's imo the best thing to come out of sao.
Definitely:
- S;G 0, Gundam Build Divers, Alt GGO, Souma; already anticipated them from the get-go.
- Mahou Shoujo Site; my only source of anime news is second-hand information from forums like this, so it was a nice surprise knowing Mahou Shoujo Site anime is a thing. I remember liking the first few chapters of it when I'm into dark and edgy stuff back then.
- Captain Tsubasa; nice surprise & nostalgia, I like sports & athletes in general.

I'm praying that when the dub comes along, the old VAs reprise their roles. I actually watched Chrono Crusade because I saw Hilary Haag was in it since she won me over so completely as Tessa. I still wouldn't ship her with Sosuke, because he kind of just does belong with Kaname, but it still breaks my heart that she'll never win him over.
Boy, Chrono Crusade. Good times... but man, was that ever an emotional roller coaster. I cried.

I'm kind of amused how perfectly suited Vic Mignogna is to voice Weber though. They've stopped hiring him for anything. It's not fair. He was so good. Although I've heard he was a huge pain to work with. That said, he's even better than his original VA, and they actually look the same too, with Kurtz basically looking so much like him that it's eerie. It's Vic's face but with longer hair.

Its gonna take awhile for me to accept some of these new LoGH designs, I actually accept a lot of them. But Oberstein and Reuenthal in particular are gonna kick me. Well I think I'm more open to accepting Reuenthal (and to a lesser extent Kircheis) but I don't think I'm gonna get used to Oberstein.

Oh, sweet Cruor memory... there's not even any battle near Fezzan, it's a point that they never fight near there. Merkatz is there in the OVA though; I could check if he's there in the books, which would be the more salient point: this new anime is by design not a remake of the OVAs. Of course their spectre will be over the new anime, but it's supposed to be strictly based on the books, at least as much as it can be. It's very important to remember that the OVAs add quite a bit of original content, or shift around what's in the novels themselves.
Oberstein and Reuenthal in particular are interesting in this way. They're actually more faithful to their appearance-wise depiction in the books.
It's entirely up to you. The original OVAs are really really good of course, and if you're a good serial binger you can definitely finish all 150+ episodes before this season ends, let alone the whole new series itself.
