Rifles aren't that draining, you can easily use a 2RF 3HG team if you have the guns for it. MGs on the other hand... Yeah, best to hold off on those for a while (unless you want to level them solely for data sim for now).
And yeah, generally advised to unlock 8 echelon slots first with any gems you get (so that you have 4 for logistics, 4 for battle), then gun slots since that'll be needed, and then it's more whatever you want.

Heads up that, trust me, this is a lot worse than you think; pistols only get evasion equipment in their 3rd slot and don't have much compared to SMGs to begin with, so at low-medium levels they get chewed up if you frontline them.

Yeah, I've been seeing that even midway through the 2/ missions. They've been able to hold up so far because of the nice buffs, but that doesn't seem like it's gonna last. Please tell me they can get armour later on.

Yeah, I thought she'd drop a lot, but I've only ever found a single copy of her. Pages full of M3s and 1896s and PPKs, but some of the others just don't show up.

2RF 3HG is the generally best RF-team. Leveling PPK is good as she has good tile buffs and a very good skill, but other than that you're gonna have to rely a bit on drops or good crafts for other good HGs (the other 2* can be good, but mostly for night missions).

I think this really depends. Like, PPK has the highest dodge in all of EN right now (at max level, but her base is higher than Skorpion), and while a 5* T-exo gives +20 evasion, it requires level 65 to equip, so really it's not that long (depending on your farming speed) where you have suboptimal stats. And I think that's a keypoint here - you're not necessarily straight up shooting yourself in the foot with a decision like that, it's just not the optimal play. Of course a HG tank is gonna be much worse than an SMG one until the mid-levels, but I'd say it definitely still works. Had a friend who was in roughly the same position, and he ended up doing 1SMG, 2HG, 1RF, 1AR for most of the early stuff.

Basically, this is another one of those games where you can beat the entire game with 2*, so really you can use whatever you like, it might just require a big higher CE, depending on your damage.

I don't see how you guys have time for this and other grinding games. I pre-registered but never logged in.

Currently committing myself to F/GO, F/GO EN, and this.

Thankfully I have a job where I can just leave my phone beside me and tap things occasionally while working. Sometimes I question what I am doing with my life but then I boot up the game and see my cute Servants and cute guns waiting for me and I realize life isn't so bad after all.

So, as you go up the levels, they seem to introduce a lot more 3*s into the drop pool. Does it keep going like that, the 3* pool expanding, with maybe one or two 4*s and so on, or does it just go up and up, introducing 4*s and then 5*s and the pool getting bigger and bigger and your chances of getting specific individual guns decreases?

4* and 5* drops are pretty rare, even for higher levels(based on TW server experience)
You're better off just trying your rng luck with the recipes in production for those.
But for 2-3 star fodder to feed your teams to max enhancement, why not.

Yeah, it's been a bother for me too, especially since both FGO and GBF reset at the same time, but this resets almost 12 hours later.
