He' a Counter Guardian right? Why doesn't he just goes back in time and kill Scathach while she was a kid, thus still mortal! Though EMIYA's track record of doing that to his past self isn't great, theorically he should be able to do this, right? Though the weapon triangle might screw him over too, even if she's still a kid if we're looking at Kogil and Gilgamesh too.

*Joking, but I'm also curious if he can even do that, alternate universes be damned.*

Even high tier servants tend to have some exploitable weak point but Scathach is just what? She's too unkillable? I doubt her death wish would be enough for her to just let someone kill her so we've got a godkilling master of countless skills. Basically Chiron if the hype was real.

It should be completely obvious anyway, given that there's an entire Route of the VN that has this as a rather pivotal factor.

He could "control" the flow of the fight in that he was completely on the defensive and Cu wasn't actually taking it 100% seriously. He's good at surviving stuff by the skin of his teeth, not so good at actually making decisive wins.

Technically, Cú was fighting 100% seriously in terms of melee combat. He "just" wasn't using Gae Bólg (which, admittedly, is a pretty big deal, considering it's basically an "I win" button). And he did kill Herakles five times, even if it was off-screen, so he is capable of fighting someone above his own level and winning.
Not that I'm saying he could win against Scathách, mind, especially since I doubt she would hold back on using her version of Gae Bólg.
