Yeah, as powerful as Achilles is, Herc seems to be on a whole different level. Achilles has B+ ranked Strength which, combined with Affections Of The Goddess would easily give him enough to break through God Hand. Then he has his spear, sword, shield and chariot which would be able to get at least 4 kills in. Maybe one more in the unlikely event he can kill Herc bare-handed. However, even that still leaves 7~8 lives remaining while Achilles has exhausted just about every trick in his playbook.

The only way Achilles would have a chance of winning would be if he used the Duel Field to seal God Hand, and even then Herc has the advantage physically (since Achilles would no longer have the benefits of Affections Of The Goddess at that point to raise his stats to roughly Herc-tier).

And this reminds me about how much God Hand is unbalanced lol.
Also, Heracles may be the greatest Greek Hero, but Achilles is just right under him, in fame and power.

BTW I feel like that we should consider how Arturia+Shirou were able to take more than life with one strike and that while God Hand gives more resistence after one kill I feel like that a weapon wouldn't just be nullified.

I mean, consider Cu Lancer killing him with Gae Bolg + Boost from his rune magic. Using after that the Anti-Army version of the spear would count as another life or not?

It is about the way of killing him, not the weapon itself. Virtually speaking, You can cut his head (1st life) and then stab his hearth (2nd life) even with the same weapon.

the solution is therefore not to be good at fighting but to have EVERYTHING or a giant beam sword that finishes it in one go
